Scheduled an appointment for 2:30, but the previous day I realized I could get in sooner, so called ahead and inquired about an earlier appointment. Was told not a problem at all to just come in as soon as p realized I could get in sooner, so called ahead and inquired about an earlier appointment. Was told not a problem at all to just come in as soon as possible. Doing so, I checked in by 12:45. Was asked if anything was wrong and explained how my 2 front doors no longer worked with the keyless entry. This is clearly not a normal issue on all Toyota’s, but is a problem none the less. I explained how I was not going to pay to get them fixed as it is very pricey and I believe this is a faulty part as the car is not even 4 yrs old. I then waited 3 hours before I left. I found out that someone replaced one of the mechanisms on one of the front doors. Then, once they realized the problem, they went back in a put back the old part. this is a timely process and completely unacceptable by Toyota. I had to wait for both processes to take place and nothing was done on your end, just a sorry, wait longer. I waited, and when it was finally time to leave, I did so and went to a local store. I got out of the store only to realize I was unable to get into my vehicle! The keyless entry obviously did not work on the front doors, but now I was unable to use the key to manually open the driver door. I had to crawl through the backseat into the drivers seat. Needless to say I was very upset. Drove back to Daytona Toyota to have the issue fixed. Quality control is obviously lacking, communication is obviously lacking, when my vehicle goes in, is everything being checked that you say is being checked? How did something like this happen and why did I, as a customer have to suffer the lengthy process of your staff doing something wrong and even more time waiting for them to replace it with the original part? I am fortunate I did not leave Daytona after the visit, or I would not have been able to get into my car through the front door the next week. More
