Ms Monica Lewis from the first was very warm and welcoming. Ms Lewis was able to explain the features of the car and answer any questions quite clearly. Mr Serge (from Belarus) was friendly, too. welcoming. Ms Lewis was able to explain the features of the car and answer any questions quite clearly. Mr Serge (from Belarus) was friendly, too. For a business transaction, all went well and I would return (if another car is needed) and/or recommend this dealership. More

I want to start out by saying that I have purchased or leased 4 vehicles through this dealership. The last of the vehicles my X and I had leased, today my X went into trade in his lease and was told by th leased 4 vehicles through this dealership. The last of the vehicles my X and I had leased, today my X went into trade in his lease and was told by the dealership's General Manager Andrew Tabaku to just walk away from the lease and let the bank deal with it. First of all this advice is illegal and send very underhanded. The bank would still come have the lease holders. Second of all as returning customers they were actually telling my X to let the lease go back and that would ruin my credit When I went into talk to Andrew he informed me that it was non of my business even though the vehicle was in my name. If this is how Gib Dannehower treats his return customers it will not be long before they stop coming. I for one will NEVER purchase another vehicle at Daytona Toyota. In fact I have contacted the bank that holds our lease and reported that Daytona Toyota is recommending that people walk away from their vehicles. I am going to write a letter to Toyota asking one simple question of why such a great car wants to have dealerships that are underhanded and practicing illegally. I am going to report them to the every agency state and federal that I can find that will listen to me. With Daytona Toyota giving out this advice they are going to cause the banks more problems, just like the mortgages. Please anyone that has a lease and is taking it to Daytona Toyota if you walk away from the lease like they advice you are still responisble for the remaining balance on the vehicle but yet Daytona Toyota is not responsible for anything and they made their sales. Leaving the customer with 2 car payments and probably going to court or having to file bankruptcy. This is not the first time Daytona Toyota has given out this advice. In fact they gave it to me when I was getting divorced and trying to trade in the vehicles. I told them then I would never purchase another one from them. They are still doing the same practice it is time for someone to stop them. More
Ms. Lewis is extremely knowledgeable about the Toyota inventory. She took great care in listening and making sure that all of my concerns were addressed. Called ahead to confirm that a specific used car was available and it was - I made an appt to meet with Craig the next day (Saturday). He was friendly with no salespeak or pressure - very nice :) I was available and it was - I made an appt to meet with Craig the next day (Saturday). He was friendly with no salespeak or pressure - very nice :) I was driving from Orlando and wanted to make sure that the trip would be worth my and my family's time - and it was. They came close enough to the price I was willing to pay and I drove home happy with a used 2005 Prius. Nice people, well-cared/maintained cars, smooth process, and better financing than I could have realistically expected. Could I recommend this dealer? Yes. Would I make the drive again? Yes. More

The sales manager did not want to work to get to an agreeable price for the selected vehicle. The price presented was approximately $10.000 over what the vehicle was worth. The dealership didn’t have agreeable price for the selected vehicle. The price presented was approximately $10.000 over what the vehicle was worth. The dealership didn’t have the vehicle on the lot and it is my opinion that the sales manager was attempting to get us on another vehicle or talk us into a lease in order to make the maximum profit; both my wife and I have sold vehicles in the past, the sales manager was way off base and unwilling to negotiate for a reasonable price on the selected vehicle. For obvious reasons we did not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. We did purchase a vehicle the next day from a dealership in Sanford, David Maus Toyota, where the staff was willing to work for a sale and did make a profit just not an extravagant home run out of the park profit that Daytona Toyota wanted. A big selling point for this dealership was the lifetime warranty that is also offered by another dealership in central Florida, Courtesy Toyota in Orlando, who also lacked a sales manager that was willing to work to make a deal and wanted maximum profit. They failed to beat a written deal I obtained from a dealership in Jacksonville, Coggin Toyota, who also had a great staff, but did not beat the deal from David Maus Toyota. The sales manager at Daytona Toyota also thought it was a good idea to talk down to my wife and me and suggested we needed to go to a base vehicle. Bottom line is David Maus Toyota worked with us, treated us with respect, stated that with our credit we could buy anything we wanted, and sold us a vehicle at a fair cost. Now that we have a new Toyota that will also require service we will not be going to Daytona Toyota, which is the closest dealership, due to a lack of trust and confidence in their staff. There was a feeling that they would do anything to make huge profit which I want no part of. Having sold vehicles in the past I know that a dealership has to make a profit when selling, however, this dealership feels the need to take a huge advantage of the market and they were unwilling to sell a vehicle without making a monster profit. As a closing note, I also know that there are those that complain they can’t get a good deal for many reasons, that most times come down to bad credit, no down payment and being upside down on their trade, these do not apply in this case and Daytona Toyota opted to let us go elsewhere to make a purchase, which in the end worked out for us. Shop around, it’s worth the time. Daytona Toyota wanted approximately $40,000 for a vehicle we purchased for under $30,000 from David Maus Toyota. We will not be returning to Daytona Toyota in the future for any needs, there are several dealerships in the area that are willing to work with the customer. More
