Down to earth salesman, patient and helpful! Firstly, I’ll start by saying I hate car buying, the whole experience of it and mostly the salesman. So, after viewing a used vehicle online I went i Firstly, I’ll start by saying I hate car buying, the whole experience of it and mostly the salesman. So, after viewing a used vehicle online I went into Del with some trepidation and on the defense. We were pleasantly greeted by Grady at the door, who was the first salesperson to ever change my opinion of salesman. He was the anti-salesman, there was nothing disingenuous about him. He was funny, laidback, intelligent and very patient. He shared stories about his personal pack of dogs and lifestyle which helped us relate and identify. It made him more real. I had gone in without intent to buy anything that moment and Grady was receptive and offered suggestions on how to do more searching before committing. Turns out I wasn’t wild about the vehicle we’d come to see and Grady and his team took extra time to sit with us, collect details about our lifestyle, hobbies, financial limitations and expectations from a vehicle. I’ve been a wrangler person my whole life and making the switch was something I wasn’t quite sure about. We are avid campers/hikers/outdoorsmen, live in the middle of the woods AND have big, dirty dogs who come everywhere with us. We needed something to match our rugged lifestyle and remain within financial reality. I also lacked clear information about the differences between Toyota truck and SUV models. Grady brought out his “truck guy”, (whose name I fail to remember simply b/c I’m notoriously bad at names and not b/c he wasn’t stellar - he was!) After much patient discussion and explanation of all the subtle details of each truck, he suggested an off-road trail model of the 4RUNNER and they brought one round. I was hooked instantly, thus plans to not buy anything, went right out the window. Just by actively listening to us and asking all the right questions, Grady and the “truck guy” were able to find a vehicle that fit me! The finance team was particularly helpful; having just abandoned the corporate world in favor of opening a private practice, proof of income was tough. Somehow, they managed to get us into a brand new truck within a comfortable budget. AND as if that wasn’t already enough, we moved last month so they saved me a headache by completing the change of address on my DL for me!! Everyone there was truly great; from the greeters at the door to the tech overview support person, Angel. Our purchase also came with an awesome warranty, GAP insurance and free service for two years!!! I’ve never had such a pleasant experience in a dealership before. Best of all NO ONE was pushy or overbearing. Not to mention, I’m officially obsessed with the truck. More importantly, our dogs love it!! Thank you everyone at Del, especially Grady and the “truck guy”, who were so patient and informative. They helped us buy a car we will be able to stay in forever! More
