I am adding to this review to familiarize you with how they handle service issues. My vehicle now has a recall due to their faulty anti-theft. This initially was unable to be corrected in vehicles with auto-start feature, but was corrected to include those vehicles afterwards. I scheduled an appointment and drove in, almost an hour to fix this recall. Unbeknownst to me, the auto-start on my vehicle was an after marker part (not disclosed at the time of sale, and I was just informed by a manager that they are not required to tell you this). As a result, they will only fix the recall if I PAY THEM to remove the auto-start, and then if I want it back, I have to pay them for a new one. The sales manager I spoke to actually said that it was a “happy accident” that I had an auto-start to begin with, and the service manager told me that it was my fault for having it!!! How this company is well rated I will never know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I can’t even begin to tell you what a nightmare my experience was with Destination Kia. I went in to see a specific vehicle. Great. Test drove it. Great. Said yes, this is what we’re looking for. They said they were waiting for the title to clear and it could take up to two weeks. Fine. Not a big deal. We set a pick up date for three weeks later. The night before we picked it up I donated my previous vehicle. I took my plates and we drove out. Guess what? The title was still not clear and I could not pick up the vehicle. Now I had no vehicle and a job 40 minutes from home. Not to mention they didn’t even bother to call and tell me! I borrowed family members cars to get to work over the next two weeks. I finally called and told them to do something as I needed a vehicle. They had me pick it up on dealer plates for “a couple days.” Nope, try again. Over a month on dealer plates, which I was later told is not legal. They finally got the title cleared and wanted me to bring it back in for an inspection during work hours. I said no, so they sent someone to my work to swap vehicles and promised it would be returned before the end of my work day. Nope. 45 minutes after my day ended the driver was lost and still 30 minutes away. I told him a good place to wait and I drove back to him in his company car (also may not have been totally legal). Two weeks later the DMV sent me a letter and suspended my registration. Since they insured the car to me almost two months before it was registered to me and they (the dealership) did not notify the DMV it was flagged and I was nearly hit with a $180 fine. Thank goodness the people at the DMV and my insurance company were over the top helpful and got it fixed for me, because when I called the dealership they pretty much told me it was not their fault or problem. I honestly cannot imagine having a worse experience buying a car. I wouldn’t go back there if they paid me. More
