Absolutely Outstanding! After working with more than 5 other dealers in the bay area to try to negotiate the purchase of a new VW, I thought the effort was wasted. I don After working with more than 5 other dealers in the bay area to try to negotiate the purchase of a new VW, I thought the effort was wasted. I don't like to go in and play all the games at the dealership, so I always start with an email that is very up front: "Hi, I would like this car and want to know your best price straight away. Please, let's not waste anyone's time and cut to the chase." 5/5 other dealers all came back with the famous "You being in the dealership is your best leverage!" line. Not Dirito though. Within minutes of sending in the request (at the end of the day when they just closed), I got a response from Ron with a straight cut, no-nonsense price. The next day I went in, saw that the car was just as described and had them appraise my trade. They gave me a great price for the trade, as well as the car so we did the DMV paperwork and I wrote a check for the balance. I was in and out of the dealership in my new car in just about an hour! More
