Lastly, getting me a quote for additional items needed for my vehicle so I can plan for extra expenses in the future. I would consider myself part of the Volkswagen family, as I have 3 Volkswagens currently. I learned to drive on my mom's '73 Beetle, I inherited my father's '69 bus, and I had an '85 Westfalia. I currently o I have 3 Volkswagens currently. I learned to drive on my mom's '73 Beetle, I inherited my father's '69 bus, and I had an '85 Westfalia. I currently own 2 TDI Sportwagens along with my eGolf. I leased, then bought my 2016 eGolf from Dirito Brothers, and near the end of its warranty, the battery range has dropped off sharply. I recently took it into the dealership twice, and both times they told me that after their "thorough" investigation and examination the battery is within specifications. Both times they kept the car for a week, and only drove it less than 40 miles, despite my request to investigate the lower end of the battery life / range. Initially they called back the day after I brought it in, explaining that it was within specs, but offered to keep it for more study. I called back after a week of silence, only to get the same incorrect diagnosis. I suspect that the additional study was to park it in the back of the lot and forget about it until I called back. When I bought the car, it would regularly go 100 miles on a charge; today it went 57 miles, with one mile remaining of range. This is about how I explained it to the service department twice. How can a range of 57 miles possibly be meeting the specification!? This smells a lot like a dealership not wanting to meet their end of the warranty bargain. I will be contacting Volkswagen USA with a letter. I am extremely disappointed with Dirito Brothers. More
