By the end of the year my husband's health issues made it impossible for him to deal with formerly easy RV tasks. I called Dodd RV of the Peninsula, spoke with Scott in sales and asked him about our options for trading down to a smaller RV. He was amazing as he worked to get us the best possible trade in and made sure that the new Chateau Thor 2017 was the model that fit our new needs at a price we could afford. I know because we shopped around and found Dodd RV of the Peninsula was the place to buy, again. Downsizing was not an easy choice for us. Scott Hudgins, Mike McNeil and Arnold Smith were understanding and respectful of our challenges. This time I was the primary one dealing with the financial end as well as the actual RV choice. But these three men were clear and patient as they answered all my questions. Every time we visited and no matter where we were in the facility we were greeted by name and with a smile. No one passes you without acknowledgement. Pete Fortesch, and Joey Lawrence and several other techs made the trade-in switch smooth again with smiles. My most recent experience was no less exceptional and impressive. The service team of Joey Lawrence, Melissa Grace, Mike Queen and Ken always exceed my expectations. They are truly and sincerely concerned with my issues. I feel securely comfortable in knowing my needs will be taken care of by knowledgeable, caring people. This level of customer service is so rare, it has to be mentioned. I recommended Dodd RV to my parents when they were looking to buy. Even though they found the exact, perfect RV for them in South Carolina, they returned to Dodd for the purchase. That was solely based on my positive experiences with everyone at Dodd. My visits always turn into enjoyable experiences. Dodd isn't just using wordplay on their DealerRater system. They follow through. Last but not least, a comment for Ken. Getting our RV on the Road We bought a used Class C Motor Home and took it to Dodd RV in Yorktown to be checked over to make sure everything works the way it should. Melissa and We bought a used Class C Motor Home and took it to Dodd RV in Yorktown to be checked over to make sure everything works the way it should. Melissa and Joey were wonderful in answering all of our "stupid" questions. This is our first RV and we are first time campers, so all of this is new to us. A++ Service As a first time RV’er, I’m discovering all the “little things” that can go wrong on your new RV and make you question your decision to join the RV com As a first time RV’er, I’m discovering all the “little things” that can go wrong on your new RV and make you question your decision to join the RV community. On the other hand, I’m also discovering that a first class service department that professionally and courteously addresses those “little problems” can reverse that doubt and make your RV experience all that you wanted it to be. That is definitely the case with Joey L. and Melissa G. at Dodd RV. Notwithstanding the need for RV service in in the first place (that’s another discussion for quality control at the manufacturer), every aspect of my service visits has been exemplary. Getting an appointment is easy and convenient. Then Joey and Melissa honestly listen to your requests, walk around your rig with you, and then let you know what they think will be done with an anticipated timeframe. If they don’t know, they say so…no BS’ing. After that, they keep you updated on the status of your service and then work with you for a convenient pickup date. When you pick up, they go over exactly what service was completed, the cost breakout, and what you can do, if anything, to prevent other similar issues. What is really impressive is their genuine effort to “make it right.” They work through warranty coverage and just good ol’ common sense (“that shouldn’t be doing that”) because they truly want the customer to be happy. Hopefully, I won’t visit them too often, but when the need arises, I won’t hesitate to visit Dodd RV Service…Joey and Melissa are top notch people and run a top notch service department. I’d recommend Dodd RV to anyone. More

NO HASSLES!! First time RV'ers though not first time lookers!! Compared to other dealerships we have been to we noticed an immediate difference with Dodd!! From the time we entered the lot, to the time we decided to buy there was ZERO hassle!! Our Family (with 3 young boys) was able to come in and feel at home. Greg answered any questions we had, let us wander the lot and showed us whatever we wanted to look at and was not attached to our hips or overbearing. Delivery day went exceptionally smooth! Arnold was quick and thorough with the paperwork and didn't smooth talk or add pressure to add on additional costs. Pete in Service took all the time we needed for our initial walk through and explained all amenities in detail. Cindie was super knowledgeable and helpful in explaining all parts and took the time to walk thru all isles with us, and like Arnold she did not pressure in any way to purchase any additional items. Overall, we can't say enough just how impressed we were with this dealership. Anytime we can we will definitely give our referral to Dodd RV!! More
