Life Is A Journey, Enjoy The Ride-With Dodd RV Yorktown My boyfriend and I went to Dodd RV of the Peninsula (Yorktown) to see a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain that we'd seen on their website and, upon arrival at My boyfriend and I went to Dodd RV of the Peninsula (Yorktown) to see a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain that we'd seen on their website and, upon arrival at the dealership, were directed to Greg, who was very friendly, patient, and willing to take all the time necessary to show us every RV that we wanted to see and that he thought might meet our criteria. When we stepped up into the Winnebago, it was love at first sight, and Greg did everything to make the sale right for me. In fact, I believe that we spent about 5 hours with him and had a great time! Greg introduced me to Arnold, who was really happy for me to be purchasing such a nice RV. That was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to pick up the beautiful Winnebago, and make her ours. There is a wonderful feeling about walking into the dealership, and seeing your name on the board, where everyone who walks in can see it. A friend gave us a ride there, and Greg took us out to the Winnebago, so we could show it to him before he left. Then, Greg sat down with me and took care of the paperwork involved with the actual sale. When Greg finished his part, Arnold took over with the rest of the paperwork and explained everything to me along the way. Arnold then turned us over to Jene, in the Parts and Service Dept., who was very friendly, helpful, informative, and gave us their version of the Sears catalog along with a tour of the dept., explaining everything as we went through. When Jene was done, Pete took us out to my newly purchased Winnebago and proceeded to take us from front to back, side to side, top to bottom, inside and out, and spent about 4 hours showing us every function of every system, and how to operate everything. He was fun to work with, patient, and easily answered all of our questions. When an issue with the refrigerator and generator came up, Ricky jumped right in and got it resolved. After working with Pete, we went back to see Jene, to purchase the accessories we needed. We had a while before we could leave, because I had to wait for my insurance agent to put a policy together for the Winnebago and fax it to me. Everyone kept saying to stay as long as we needed and to make ourselves at home, and Linda was also very friendly and accommodating. I also met Mike, and he was as helpful and friendly as everyone else there. We couldn't have had a better team to work with, and I couldn't be a more satisfied customer. Actually, I don't really feel like a customer. I feel like part of the "Dodd RV Family". I didn't purchase a brand new $250,000.00 RV, but I was treated as if I had, through the entire process. If you're in the market for an RV, new or used, I suggest you get to Dodd RV of the Peninsula. That is, of course, if you're looking for no pressure, quality service in finding a quality RV. Make sure to read their motto and mission statement, located in their lobby. It's such a joy to work with a dealership that cares about people more than the bottom line. But that's where their vision pays off. In caring more about truly helping the people who come to Dodd RV, they probably make more RV sales than any other RV dealership around. The team at the Yorktown Dodd RV, is just that-a team. They all work together like a well-oiled machine. They all enjoy working with each other, and they make it very obvious that they love their jobs. How refreshing it has been to work with this great group of extraordinary individuals. The bottom line here is that I now own a beautiful 1999 Winnebago Chieftain (that I absolutely love!), and I love Dodd RV in Yorktown!! I can't say enough good things about how great they all are. I love you guys, and I'm a friend for life!!!! In the wise words of Yoda, Jedi Master, "There is no try. There is only do, or not do." You all "DO" exceptionally well!!! More

They made us feel right at home and have excellent customer service. They took there time reviewing, explaining, and teaching us everything we needed to know about our 5th wheel. My buying Experience at Dodd RV Yorktown. The day we picked up we went through a very good walk through with Pete (So sorry about the boo boo!!!Rambo says she's sorry).Mike and Arnold are good people who are honest and fair straight shooters. Dodd RV is about a half hour away from our home and offered a warrenty for life on their products which is only offered at 2 dealerships in this state. We went to Dodd at least 3x to look and find out more info before we made a final decision. There was no pressure from anyone. We were allowed to take our time and look over each RV at our leisur . Our salesman, Scott, was very patient and always ready to answer our questions. He was wonderful to deal with, always answering phone calls or returning them, and keeping us informed about the ordering of our RV. Every employee we dealt with was very knowledgeable in their field and answered all our questions. Mike worked with Scott to get us a great deal and with ordering our RV as quickly as possible. Joey and Pete were super in the service dept. Pete did our walk thru from top to bottom and was a pleasure to work with. Cyndie, in parts, was very knowledgeable and nice to work with also. Linda always had a smile when we walked in and asking right away what she could get us if we had to wait. She had water and cookies ready! Overall we had a wonderful experience and left feeling like part of the Dodd RV Family. We would recommend Dodd RV to anyone! Outstanding sales team We worked with Scott to buy a 2015 Forest River Georgetown. At no time did I feel that he tried to swindle us or misrepresent the RV. He showed us what we wanted to see and answered all of our questions. If he didn't know the answer he said, "I don't know", and then found the answer! I've never heard a salesman admit they didn't know the answer. This just shows you they are honest! We signed on the dotted line with Arnold from finance. He was nothing but friendly and honest the entire time. He disclosed EVERYTHING! I never felt pressured or as though I was being taken advantage of. There were no added fees, costs, or questionable math. His numbers matched my numbers as we went through the process. Upon taking delivery we were told of some discrepancies the coach already had. Parts were already on order and would be installed the following week. This is not a fault of the dealership, but rather the RV industry's philosophy of quantity over quality. Dodd's honesty at disclosing these discrepancies before we took delivery was very much appreciated. They even went as far as to throw some cold sodas in the fridge for us! :) Ricky from service did our walkthrough with us. We are prior motorhome owners but he "taught" us as though we were brand new motorhome owners; which is important because every coach is different. Ricky was very polite and knowledgeable, although I did find that his instructions were incorrect with regard to several convenience functions in the coach. Additionally, there were a few items that we did not see during our walkthrough and which he did not mention. We understand it's hard to keep up with all the features of each type of motorhome/camper configuration, but maybe a model-specific cheat-sheet should be used to ensure ALL the features and functions of that model are explained. This is especially important for folks brand new to the RV lifestyle. Overall we think Dodd RV is an outstanding dealership and recommend them to everyone. We will be back when it's time to trade up!! More

The few "punch-list" items were turned over to Jene who managed the ordering of the replacement parts - and scheduling of the service work.
