Found a car on line that had the things we wanted in a car. Went on a Sunday and Ric waited on us. He was very patient, friendly and answered all questions. Here's my story why I choose Discover Hyundai for service on both of our Hyundai vehicles. Our first Hyundai was purchased from a Scottsdale dealership that went out of business. Soon, a new Hyundai dealersh on both of our Hyundai vehicles. Our first Hyundai was purchased from a Scottsdale dealership that went out of business. Soon, a new Hyundai dealership opened across the street from the first one. It did not take me long to realize that some of the service team came from the dealership that my wife had several disappointing experiences with. Then I bought our second Hyundai and had the opportunity to experience first hand the marginal service she had experienced. I was asked each time to give them a 10 on the follow up surveys. But a 5 or 6 was the best I could do on a good day. I took my complaints of inconvenience and poor service to their management as well as Hyundai America. The dealership never replied or tried to win my business back. That was all I needed to confirm my instinct. So I sought out another option. That is when I discovered Discover Hyundai of Scottsdale (no pun intended). I called to introduce myself and explained how I wanted to develop a lasting relationship, built on trust and excellence with a knowledgeable Service Advisor. I explained that there were 8 of us in our extended family that were Hyundai owners. That is when I met Tim Hodder. Tim assured me of “working hard to earn my 10”, not just ask for it. Every visit to the dealership has been a pleasure. Every employee greets and acknowledges me personally and makes me feel welcome. I believe they understand the importance that without people like me (“customers”), that they would have not have a job or be in business. For these simple customer-service basics, along with honesty, respect and knowledge, I am fortunate to have these folks on my team. It really pays to discover Discover Hyundai. More
Ric met my husband and I at the dealership on a Saturday after conversing with me via email during the week so that we could assess the 2004 Cadillac Deville that I found on the internet. Run Dont Walk!! Waste of Time! I started with a nice Run Dont Walk!! Waste of Time! I started with a nice enough saleman- Ron K however the day I was going to purchase a car the manager told me it wo Run Dont Walk!! Waste of Time! I started with a nice enough saleman- Ron K however the day I was going to purchase a car the manager told me it would be at least a 2 hour wait before I could meet with finance. And this was after already waiting for a half an hour. The next day I was left a vm from Brad in finance requesting that I call him right away to discuss some "great financing" he found. When I called him back he had me on speaker phone and refused to give me any info over the phone. He abruptly stated it was against the law to release any info to me over the phone because he couldnt confirm my identity. When I pushed it and offered to provide pertinent info such as birthdate he then took me off speaker and stated he would call me later cause he had "someone in the office". He never called me back. That night I went back and again was told I would have to wait. When I then attempted to leave the salesman- Ron K tracked us down in the parking lot and stated that finance was ready for us. As we walked into Brads office it was quite obvious he was not ready nor did he care if we bought a vehicle or not. Brad proceeded to tell us that it is not customary for a "salesman to walk clients into his office". At this point my husband and I were done. As I turned to walk out Brad began cussing out the salesman. He yelled "You never Fu... walk customers into my office unannounced!" I then called one of the owners- Frank who quite frankly seemed to care less and just made excuses for his finance guys poor behavior. In fact he actually tried to blame the whole thing on the salesman- Ron K which I felt was very unfair. It seemed he was doing the best he could with what little he had. Discover Hyundai was a complete waste of time and the dealership is highly dysfunctional top down. More
Mike made the experience of "shopping" very pleasant, no pressure, easy communications he's such a friendly guy. Frank made the leasing process very easy and quick, the wife and I had already had a long day at a fundraiser, so that was very appreciated. EVERYONE that we spoke to was very kind and courteous. Best new car experience I've ever had - this is my 11th new vehicle and if the car is even half as good as they are (and it's a really good car) I'll be back again, and so will everyone I talk to that's thinking about buying a Hyundai.
