Paulo Pena went way above and beyond for me. Yesterday, I replaced the battery in my car. When I connected the battery, the alarm would not stop going off, and my car would not start. After looking through my owner's manual, I was unable to come up with any kind of solution, so I called Earnhardt, and of course the service department was closed, so I was connected to roadside assistance. Roadside assistance said they could send a tow truck, but I figured there was a way to get this problem solved, I just hadn't yet found the right person to talk to. So I called Earnhardt again, and this time asked for someone in sales. I got Paulo. He gave me some steps to try, and told me that if it didn't work to call him back and he would come to me to try to fix it. I tried it, it did not work. I called him back and he said that he was waiting for someone, and he looked up my name and saw that I had a 10 year roadside assistance thing, and that if I didn't want to wait, I could call them and they may be able to get my car started, and if not, they could tow it to the dealership and that it would not cost me anything. So I called roadside assistance and they gave me an ETA. I texted Paulo (he gave me his cell phone number so that I could get him quicker) and told him that the tow truck would be here at a certain time and asked if it would be ok with him if I called him when the tow truck arrived to have him tell the tow truck driver what to try before just towing it, since it would be a big hassle for me to have to try to make arrangements to be able to get my son to school and myself to work in the morning. Paulo called me right back, and told me that he could drop everything right then and come to my house so that he could be here when the tow truck driver was here so that I may be able to avoid undue stress. He got there before the tow truck came, and within about a minute, he had my car started. I was able to call and cancel the tow truck before they even got there. Paulo went way, way above and beyond for me. I asked him if my house was on his way home, and he said no, that he was heading back to the dealership. There are no words that can express just how much I appreciate what he did for me. I will definitely refer anyone that I know that is looking for a vehicle to this dealership.
