From the moment we walked into East Hartford Chevy, the experience was unprofessional. No one greeted us or even looked up — including the general sales manager, who sat there the entire time and never ack experience was unprofessional. We went in on January 3 to look at a 2026 Chevy Tahoe. After them not willing to do do anything on price I asked if they would throw in 4 all weather mats—— they so so so we left and said we will let you know on Monday. We were immediately bombarded with calls to “sweeten the deal,” which felt pushy rather than helpful and could have been avoided if they just did it when we were there- after 2 phone calls with in 20 mins they agreed to give us 4 mats. I left a deposit and was clear that I would not be taking delivery until the following week. That’s following Wednesday I got a call from them confirmed this was fine, but the Briana later called insisting it was crucial I take delivery before the week ended, directly contradicting what I’d already been told. After multiple attempts, we finally took delivery of the vehicle. At delivery, we were promised all-weather floor mats. When we arrived, we were informed the mats were not there because the salesperson never placed the order with the parts department. I was told they would be ordered, available the next day, and that someone would follow up with me. No follow-up ever occurred. After reaching out again for an update, I contacted the sales manager directly. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he responded via text message that was clearly intended for the salesperson but was accidentally sent to me. In that message, he referred to me as “a xxxxx.” This message is documented and was received directly from dealership management. Even if sent unintentionally, language like this toward a customer is completely unacceptable and deeply concerning. This interaction confirmed the ongoing pattern throughout the process: poor communication, lack of accountability, and a complete lack of professionalism from both sales staff and management. Overall, this dealership showed a total lack of respect for customers and basic customer service. I would not recommend East Hartford Chevy. More
