I must say, I've never had such friendly and personable service from anyone. Stan had full knowledge of the vehicles on the lot and suggestion for me according to my likes, dislikes and required necessities. Even though I didn't purchase the vehicle at the time, when I'm ready I know who to go see. More

Excellent deals. Horrible Service and Management. We bought our 2009 Dodge Journey as a certified used Dodge Vehicle from this dealership. It was the car we wanted for the price we wanted. We though We bought our 2009 Dodge Journey as a certified used Dodge Vehicle from this dealership. It was the car we wanted for the price we wanted. We thought we were getting a great deal. Then we brought the car home. From day one the sunroof started leaking. We then went over the car with a fine tooth comb and found: leaking sun roof, passenger rear door popping and improperly closing, window motor broken, both sun visors broken, plastic paneling broken. We also noticed something that wasn't very apparent in the test drive. A hesitation in the engine, along with a vibration in the steering and an occasional grinding whining noise while turning. We brought the vehicle back in for service with this laundry list of problems. The cosmetic issues were fixed within the first 45 days (the sunroof took the longest and 3 separate visits). The engine issues? Got worse. The car began stalling, and not accelerating. They kept running error codes, and then saying that they "fixed the computer" or "updated the computer". Eventually it stopped stalling, but it still doesn't drive right, and does not send the proper amount of power to the engine. Now they say that they are "unable to duplicate the problem". So now we just record the events as they happen with a video camera. And we like to post them, publicly. So deciding we have had enough with the bad engine, we went to two other dealerships for them to diagnose the issue. Both have diagnosed a bad transmission. The whining grinding noise? The dealership kept saying that they were unable to duplicate. So we again started taking video's. It was obviously a power steering noise, but the dealership kept saying "unable to duplicate issue". One day my husband decided to go out and check the power steering fluid level. Turns out, it was low. Like almost empty low. So we added transmission fluid (something you would have thought that the dealership would have checked, since it was making power steering noises). Then we started noticing a puddle in our driveway. I took photos, and video of the power steering noises and went into the shop telling their shop manager that there is absolutely NO WAY that we DON'T have a leak. Sure enough, they diagnosed a leak in the seal and repaired it. This was after 3 months of us insisting we had a power steering leak, and they were insisting we didn't. Now on for the vibrating. While driving at low and high speeds, our tires and steering wheel were vibrating. We brought it in immediately and they said "the wheels need to be balanced". We got our wheels balanced and didn't even make it up to Glen Cove Rd before we had to turn around with the car because it sounded like we had bricks attached to the tires. They said eventually that a tire needed to be replaced which they did (free of charge). However our car kept vibrating. Every time we tell them that the car is still vibrating, they do an alignment, balance and or rotate the tires. Our car is still vibrating. Because we drive our 1 year old daughter around in this family vehicle we brought it to 2 other service centers. Both service centers said the same thing. The motor mount is busted. But this dealership appears to not want to diagnose an issue that costs them money (since this has been occurring since we BOUGHT the car, this is still covered under their warranty) but in the words of their shop "we can't fix a problem we don't diagnose". But it appears if it is financially not in the best interest for them, they don't diagnose the issue. Now onto our more recent issue. I am out doing a delivery for Non for profit group that provides food to in need families. I have my 1 year old daughter with me. I stop to get some gas. I go to start the car and the car doesn't start. I have a full tank of good gas, and a car that wont start. I call for a tow, and because of the oppressive heat (our 96* day) I have to remove my 1 year old from the baking oven and wait outside in the sun. After the tow truck is arranged, and after sweating it out with my daughter for 10 minutes, I decide to give the car a try again. It starts up. I continue on my way home and cancel the tow truck. Thinking it may be a key issue, I began using the newer of the 2 keys. Grocery shopping with my daughter the next day led to the same result. The car once again wouldn't start. I bring the vehicle to East Hills, and they diagnose a broken starter and wiring harness. Now that was the last straw. We have an engine issue that they cant diagnose or fix, but two other dealerships can. We have a motor mount issue that they can't diagnose or fix, but two other dealerships can. And now a broken wiring harness and starter. The day I brought this vehicle in the shop is the day I sat down with Mike Galante and said "put us in a new car" (Jesse Berbig sold our first car, but from day 1 when we brought it home and we started having problems he put us in touch with Eric, the service manager and never called back). Mike has helped us find a car we want, within reason. However, herein lies our next problem. They want us to buy a whole new car and eat the cost of the old one. They want to give us $2,000 less then what we paid, and an additional $1,000 less cash that we put down on the first. To some in our area, this may seem like a small or silly amount of money. But for a family of 3 on a fixed income this is a lot. They wanted to up our monthly payments originally by $125 a month. Eventually we got them to come down to $94 over our current monthly payments, but this is still a huge chunk of money for us! We have brought this issue to corporate, in an attempt to get the dealership to do a buy back of the vehicle as it is not an unreasonable request. We understand that we have negative equity from our trade in (we traded in a 2010 Jeep Patriot for this) and have no problem transferring over the negative equity (why should a dealership eat OUR costs). But at the same time, why should we eat a dealerships costs when they sold a bad vehicle? We called corporate on the day we decided we were going to purchase a new vehicle and are attempting to work with them. However in almost 1 weeks time, Eric (the shop manager) has not returned Corporates call regarding our vehicle so they can do a thorough investigation. We have brought this issue to light on many dealer rating sites, yelp, cars.com and others that allow us to review the dealership. Their gentleman who handles their online reviews and such, posts up responses but then we get no where again (and when we attempt to contact him via telephone for an in person chat, he appears incapable of calling back). I understand that this dealership does not want negative reviews, but posting up responses saying that they will help us, and they don't is misleading and aggravating to say the least. Instead of standing by a vehicle that they sold, and admitting that they've sold a bad vehicle that they are unable to fix, they are preying on our desperate need for a different and functioning family vehicle. Emil has offered us $444/month bottom line which is unaffordable to us. As their female manager said "we are not in the business of taking cars back" (I would post her name, but I cannot recall what it was and don't want to tag the wrong employee). So my question is, are you in the business of selling bad cars then? So as of right now we are stuck with a car they refuse to fix, or an unaffordable vehicle. Instead of working with us, they give us bottom lines. Instead of admitting that the car they sold was and still is in poor shape, they hide behind transferring calls, and saying "this is it", and give blank stares when we ask them just to say it. What kind of reputable dealership does this? And as we are publicly reaching out to others in our neighborhood who may have had similar issues, the response is ASTOUNDING. Where there are a few satisfied customers (believe me, we were satisfied.... at first), the negative response indicates there is a larger problem with this dealership. My advice? Where the deal was great when we needed a new car (we went from a stick to an automatic because of my husbands bad leg), the overall remaining review of this dealership? Steer clear. We have been dealing with them weekly for 7 months, and have still gotten no where. **We have been asked to change or delete our reviews. I decline to do so UNTIL we are given an agreeable outcome.** More
