My salesman Carlton Pierre did everything he could to find me the Grand Cherokee I wanted. They did not have it on the lot, but he got me the jeep I wanted the next day. Very friendly staff, got the deal I was looking for, I felt that no games were played, they were straight forward. Just a little too pushy when it came down to trying to sell me an extended warranty. felt that no games were played, they were straight forward. I am writing with regards to my 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited that was purchased and serviced at East Hills. I would like to say that in all of my years and 12+ experiences purchasing and servicing vehic Limited that was purchased and serviced at East Hills. I would like to say that in all of my years and 12+ experiences purchasing and servicing vehicles I have NEVER received such atrocious customer service from a service department, nor a vehicle that has experienced this many problems in 3 months and under 3,000 miles; it's ridiculous. This vehicle was sold to us under that guise that it had been serviced and was safe to drive, it has been anything but; though the sales and finance department could not have been more helpful to unload this truck from their lot at the time of the sale. Again, in the short 3 months and less than 3k mies that we have owned this vehicle we have: -A leaking transmission (our own mechanic tells us the proper gasket was never used) -A hard shifting transmission (most likely the result of the above) -A shorted out driver's door causing the power options to fail (repaired at the dealer) -A failing climate control system (to which the dealer claims we will have to pay for) -A leaking/failing power steering pump (somehow completely overlooked during their last service "safety check") -Four blown and leaking shocks -Loose suspension components causing a squeak that would drive any sane person to the brink. I have had 20 year old cars with 200k miles with less issues and better quality than this truck. It is completely unacceptable to me that this dealer A) sold us a vehicle with these existing issues; B) Have the gall to charge us a diagnostic fee to look at the truck a second time after they had just seen it a few weeks ago C) Failed to notice the leaking steering components despite the service representatives claim that they check the steering for safety issues under their safety check; and D) Have done nothing to make the situation right or even treat us with respect, courtesy, and like a customer that just spent hard-earned money at their business. To add insult to injury, they convinced us to purchase an extended warranty on the truck, which as far as I can tell, was a completely useless product sold as a means to make their profit margin larger on the truck. Upon our last visit, we witnessed 2 other customers storm out of the dealerships service area after unsatisfactory discussions with the service representatives. Clearly not a good sign as you're about to hand over your vehicle for what will probably be another frustrating experience. If we could turn back time and take back our 2002 Xterra with 130k miles (that never gave us a single problem) and to have never met these crooks, that would be a dream come true. More

Brought a new Jeep in for oil change, problem with Driver side window, FM radio reception stopped working a couple of months after we purchased the Overland (purchase date 9/2011),12 month Sirius free contr side window, FM radio reception stopped working a couple of months after we purchased the Overland (purchase date 9/2011),12 month Sirius free contract only lasting 3.5 months, potential oil leak. . Free Sirius radio was turned off less than 4 months from purchase date (turned off 1/3/2012). Sirius told me that East Hills had to renew the contract as it had a 12 month contract that started 1/3/2011. Steve Osorio was my assigned Service Advisor and that was the start of my problem. He stated they upgraded the radio and he PERSONALLY checked it to make sure it was operating as it was supposed to be (FM radio operating) and there was not any static. Didn't even make it out of the parking lot and the radio was not working. Steve also told me that I can have free Sirius until 7/23 and at that time we personally would have to arrange something with Sirius to continue the service (12 month Sirius contract was not honored by the dealership). Steve PERSONALLY verified that my oil was not leaking and was I sure no one else parked in my garage spot. In fact he asked me this same question 4 times. I guess he thought I would change my answer? My question is, did he PERSONALLY check my oil leak the same way he PERSONALLY verified there was no static with the radio? I had to bring the car back in to have them check the radio again and unfortunately was stuck with Steve Osorio who concocted a story that they were working with Jeep corporate as the issue with the radio was something they have never seen before and my radio might need to be replaced. He said it was a PROCESS and could take some time working with Jeep Corporate. They kept my care while the PROCESS was ongoing. 2 days later he called me and said my antenna was missing and that was the problem. (The location of the antenna is on the roof of the car). I was told that the replacement of the antenna would not be covered under warranty. Steve then asked if I ever went to a car wash. I replied my kids wash my car, but honestly, the car might have gone to a car wash. Steve then told me that the car wash probably broke off the antenna. Wouldn't you assume the Service Advisor would have PERSONALLY checked the antenna first since there was no reception? As well, I guess per Steve's ingenious analysis, Chrysler Jeep telling there owners that no Jeep Grand Cherokee should ever go to a car wash? I ask that as that was the impression I took away with Steve's comment. A bit absurd, no? I can't judge the other Service Advisors as this was our one and only experience with Service at East Hills Jeep. there.I do recommend that if you go there for service, do yourself a favor and refuse that Steve Osorio be assigned to you. Certainly, Steve's lack of honesty and basic intelligence suggests to me he should consider another profession. More
I searched many dealers to find the certified pre owned 2010 dodge caravan I wanted. I found a great car at a decent price here at East Hills. From the initial phone call to the final signing of the dott 2010 dodge caravan I wanted. I found a great car at a decent price here at East Hills. From the initial phone call to the final signing of the dotted line, our salesman, Rich, was polite, courteous and friendly. He never rushed us or tried to push us into anything we weren't ready to do. He was even nice to our four kids! He was an excellent salesman and an overall nice guy. I am going to have one negative thing to say...I to make several follow up calls regarding service related issues or questions Rich promised to handle for us but either forgot about or was too busy to handle. Regardless of those minor issues, I would absolutely send a friend to Rich to buy a car. Now let's discuss, Mike Thomas, the "Business Manager". This is usually the man who discusses the financing aspect of the car, signs all the papers, tries to get you to buy things you don't need, takes th money and so on. We paid cash for our car so we did not need any financing. We were interested in the extended warranty option on the car. Mike threw out numbers, which were ridiculous, played with his calculator and ultimately came down to his final price for a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. He discussed what was covered and what was not. At NO POINT IN THE DISCUSSION was a deductible of any sort mentioned for service calls covered under the warranty. It was only two days later upon examining all the documents did I even notice a $200 deductible listed. So if I have a repair that is $225, I still have to pay the first $200! Let me add that we paid $2600 for an extended warranty. This was unacceptable. I immediately called Mike, expressed my disgust for being mislead, which we were and threatened to stop payment on the check. Throughout my conversation he kept saying, "but even a dr's office there is copayment". He did not understand the fact that it was not the deductible I was upset about, it was the fact that IT WAS NOT MENTIONED! Typical salesmen behavior. He assured me he would have the deductible lowered to $100 which is $100 more than we should be paying. Several days later I received a copy of the new contact reflecting the $100 deductible. No noteof apology, or explanation. Just a 1 page photocopy. Bottom line. Rich is an excellent asset to East Hills. Beware of Mike the finance guy and READ ALL THE FINE PRINT BEFORE YOU LEAVE! More
