Dear Sam, We're sorry you are faced with an expensive repair to your Jeep. The manufacturer will not accept a warranty claim on a vehicle with an axle seal leak that was caused by your addition of oversized tires and a 4.5 inch lift kit. We are not focused solely on the "bottom line dollar." You even mentioned we've treated you "pretty well" in the past. And while we strive to make the right decisions every day, sometimes we have to make unpopular decisions. Dear Williegk13, I have been struggling with my reply to your review for a week now. I have spoken with James Kropp, your salesperson, Steve DeSetto, sales manager, and Eric Luchs, service director. I have spoken to Bruno (I don't remember the spelling of his last name), the technician who worked on your truck and who was on the ride with you and Eric Luchs to hear the noise you are referencing in your review. Bruno and Eric have relayed to me that the noise is intermittent and of such a low audible level that it is considered to be within the guidelines set by Dodge. This may correlate to what one of the two other dealers said when they said the noise was normal and perhaps why the second dealer you took your vehicle to could not fix the problem. As your dealership, we will continue to stand by the products we sell and we will continue to perform all warranty work to your vehicle at no charge to you. I would prefer to set your expectations that if the manufacturer says there is nothing wrong with your vehicle, there may be little else we can do, other than to ensure your vehicle continues to be safe and operating as Dodge expects. We remain here for you should you like us to take another look at your Journey. We wish you all the best.
