O On April 3,2015 I bought a 2014 Dodge Avenger from Chad Ristau. This experience was good as Chad treated us with respect all through the process. On February 13, 2016 Chad was again our salesman and this time the car was a 2014 Subaru Outback. Our experience through this process was also good as Chad did some research for us before we went to the lot as I had a set amount for my budget, and asked him to look into a few selections I had made on their website. It came down to if I had chose one of the selections I had picked out, I would have "settled" for a newer car. Chad recommended a couple of different choices in which we picked out the Subaru instead. I never in a million years would have thought of buying a Subaru as I remember when they came out they were way too small for us. New Subie Outback The wife wasn't happy with the way her 2012 Honda CRV performed on the bad roads we have to travel every day due to living out in the country so last The wife wasn't happy with the way her 2012 Honda CRV performed on the bad roads we have to travel every day due to living out in the country so last Saturday I said lets go look at some used Subarus" since she had mentioned she liked the Outback style. We met with Chad Ristau at the Warren dealership and all I can say is in all the vehicles I have bought over the last 50 years I have never had a more pleasant experience than this one. We picked out a 2016 Outback and took it for a test drive and during the test Chad explained all the safety features the car had and a lot of the other features. When we got back to the dealership they appraised the Honda and gave us a trade in price. My wife said she couldn't do it for that so Chad went back to the manager to negotiate and actually came back with a realistic number we could work with. Through it all Chad was the most pleasant and patient salesman I have ever met. He treated us like we were his friends and explained every step of the transaction and asked if we had questions several times. There was never any pressure from him to purchase the car. one lie after another the wife and i went there looking for a truck.we decided on a used quad cab ..while they were busy getting all the paperwork together.the service man the wife and i went there looking for a truck.we decided on a used quad cab ..while they were busy getting all the paperwork together.the service manager came outside and told us that he had not yet had a chance to to get the truck in.but, they had already detailed the truck and put it on the line to be sold.so he said he be able to give us any kind of warrantee. i told him we would walk.he then said well, may be 1000 miles.i was ok with this.cause with most used cars you only get a 30 day 1000 mile warantee anyway.so we get the truck home.the following morning my son noticed the spare tire missing.we knew it had one because we were talking about it being new.also later that day i noticed small drops of oil on my driveway.having 4 cars and lots of people visiting i thought nothing of it.i called the dealership to tell them about the spare tire,they acted as if it didnt happen.i knew better.so they said we will get you a new rim and tire.3 weeks later i got a new rim and a used tire.that was previously on a vehicle that needed a front end alignment.the outside of it was cupped..when the person who took the tire was stealing it.they broke the piece that holds the tire under the truck.i took my truck to my mechanic for a service.he showed me small pin holes in the oil pan ..1000 dollar repair. i called them and once again got the song and dance used by most used car sales people.my advice.check the vehicle over completely.take to an outside mechanic do not take these peoples word for anything..it was a very expensive lesson for me.happy to say i just bought a new truck.from community chevrolet in meadville.great people . i will never return here.nor ever recommend..
