I came into this dealership yesterday because I had a pre-approval from Santander Consumer USA. I initially asked for Dan, a Finance Manager, because he called me based on the information that he receive pre-approval from Santander Consumer USA. I initially asked for Dan, a Finance Manager, because he called me based on the information that he received from the finance company as well. I was then asked if I wouldn't mind speaking with Michael Cash because Dan was unable to help me at the time. I spoke with Michael and advised of my situation and even though I had a pre-approval, he still wanted to try Ford Finance. I was told that that is was pending but that was hopeful. I was asked about a co-signer that I made clear I was not going to do. I was then told that he/they are going to work on some things and then call me back the next day. After calling them several times, I received a voicemail letting me know that they denied me. I am confused, no details, nothing. I was of no value to them because they couldn't get the deal they wanted out of me. I couldn't even the option of a higher down payment or even a lower priced vehicle and this is poor customer service and makes me wonder what the real issue was.... I have never been denied by a dealership and treated with so disrespect and disregard when it wasn't an easy sell. I did call back for details but I am sure they want waste anymore time me. I am disappointed with this dealership that is supposed to be premiere. I will be relaying the details of this experience with my finance company, Santander Consumer USA. They need to be removed from the premiere list immediately. More

With any used vehicle, there are always plusses and minuses, making the decision whether to buy or not complicated. But our salesman Donnie and his manager Max understood our concerns, and worked with us to get them resolved. Scott in Finance was also easy to work with. Thank you! I would highly recommend this dealership, and Donnie. More

I did have a great sales experience with Anthony. Robo was great as the concierge. Robert in finance was finally the one that addressed all the issues in the end. Everything post sale was horrible. Typic was great as the concierge. Robert in finance was finally the one that addressed all the issues in the end. Everything post sale was horrible. Typical of a dealer. I did not receive a first class experience at Elder Ford of Tampa. I am not satisfied with the shape of my vehicle, the service provided, or Elder Ford in general. 1. The window tint on both front windows has bubbles and tears already. 2. As part of the purchase a Roll-n-lock was ‘included’. When I went to get it installed the wrong part was installed on my truck. When I questioned it I was told the wrong one was ordered. Was told in two days the correct one would be in. After a week I called and was told it would be a few more days. Now I’m coming in tomorrow to finally get it installed. 3. Interest rate was raised one percent above what was agreed to originally. Have that in writing. 4. Driver’s side back passenger seat back was not locked (supposed to be permanently locked in back upright position) and when driving and braking my son was thrown forward while in his seatbelt. Horrible! I had to have that fixed when I came in for the wrong bed cover. 5. Finally someone tried to buy a five star review. Seriously? No amount of money buys a five star review. Good service beginning to end gets five stars. I am fortunate that my son was not injured. I am also fortunate that I haven’t done my survey yet. It will be done before the drop dead date of June 6. I was impressed with elder Ford at 1st.. when I enquired about 3 vehicles they emailed me and called me on the phone right away. Mitchell Palmer, (internet sales manager) the gentleman that I spoke with sai about 3 vehicles they emailed me and called me on the phone right away. Mitchell Palmer, (internet sales manager) the gentleman that I spoke with said he would be there when I arrived the next day. Instead, when I got there, I was referred to another guy by the floor sales manager.. That is probably the system they always used but it didn't seem very personable.. This salesmen I got Tried to sell me something I didnt want because they didnt have the car available that I did want..the whole thing felt like a bait and switch kind of experience. The salesman seemed to be impatient with me as I wasn't intrested in looking at anything else other than the ones I had come for (and was told they had)He began grilling me about how I want to pay - if I was cash or credit and why couldn't I finance a newer car blah blah blah.. Well I was already driving a newer car and I came for a second vehicle that I could use for recreation use..I have purchased about 5 vehicles in the past 5 years and 3 of them were from a dealership like this and it's never as good of an experience as when I work with a smaller dealership.. I probably would not have bother to write a negative review but when They reached out by email to check on my experience and I responded with how it went com I never did hear back from them so I think that's kind of what annoyed me the most. If youre going to ask about my experiences but not respond or engage, then what is the point. Although it probably didn't help that I told them I'd already bought somewhere else down the road and would not be back. You'd think they'd be working on the long game if they were planning to be in business long term... More
I was very disappointed with the experience I had at Elder ford. First when I went in , we walked aground for over 30 mins with not even a greeting . We actually had to ask for help . Secondly I came into your store because of the online price of the F150 STX which was advertised for 31,902 with Incentives which I know is not the out door price. I asked for the specific truck that I saw online but it was not available cause it’s a loaner and he offered to show me the a truck that was $100 more and the sales person thought it wasn’t anything just pay it ? He was a bit arrogant because he acted like if he was doing us the favor ? He may have experience but he lacks Bedside manner as well as common courtesy. He didn’t want to be questioned or even discuss the deal . It was more like do we have a deal if I take off the added fees that I fell try to obligate the customer to pay for things he didn’t ask for . I asked if they have the same truck without the addons.. He said the “owner” adds it to all the trucks when they come in. Over 2000 in accessories they chose to installed not ever giving the consumer the option. Then try to force customers to pay for. Very unethical business practice. The sales rep was arrogant to the end As we left we said call us if anything changes he said no you call us if you change your mind with a sarcastic smile . Really not a good experience Especially for the reputable Ford name . More

The sales team assured me everything had been tested and was operational. When trying to use the sunroof for the first time, I discovered it does not work. There is NO reason why a $72k two year-old truck should not have a working sunroof. I contacted the dealer and attempted to come to a resolution, as I do not feel they should have missed a non-working sunroof during the inspection process, and was blown off by my salesman. I attempted to reach out again, and was told "well all our vehicles are inspected." I can't tell you how many people talked to me about "supporting the military" during the sales experience. They were very attentive when I was purchasing a vehicle, but their lack of support and willingness to resolve this issue show that the ONLY thing they care about is their pockets. Spreading through the military community but I would recommend everyone to GO ELSEWHERE. More
Buyers beware and read reviews before you go to this dealership. Let me tell you how Elder Ford SCREWED us!!!! We went in on 12/21/19 with decent credit and great income. We took home a truck that n dealership. Let me tell you how Elder Ford SCREWED us!!!! We went in on 12/21/19 with decent credit and great income. We took home a truck that night a 2016 F-150. We took our trade and finalized the financing on 12/30/19. Also on that date I decided to trade in my car for a SUV. The sold both of our trades not even before they paid our 1 car off and I was told by the finance manager to stop my automatic payments on my car. It went 2 months with our a payment that I have been paying on every month with out missing for now 2 years until now. Both of our cars were sold at auction and I was told that my husbands truck was purchased by some one that was probably used for parts. This was his daily driving truck everyday round trip 40+ miles a day. I was told after they returned my car that when they checked my 2015 Chrysler 200C to see if the could sell it on the lot someone in service said it had a coolant leak and that a lie because the day before I traded it we had just come home from GA without a problem!!! I took great care of my car and my mechanic can vouch that it was in top condition. In the last yr it had all 4 new tires and a oil change and tire rotation every 5,000 miles. When I got my car back on the drive home it started to get hot and smelled like burnt oil. They said the radiator hose came loose and I needed a new oil plug. They did fix my problems but I still feel violated. They let the loan approvals expire because they didn’t send in all the paperwork they needed. The only thing missing was year to date for my income and I was waiting on my W-2. On 2/15/20 I received a email from the finance department to bring back the truck and the SUV!!!! Now my credit is tanked and I am unable to purchase a truck for my husband with out paying 8,000 down. I’m making double payment so my car would not be repoed and can catch up with all the fees and everything my finance company is charging me. They can not give us a honest answer and no one wants to take responsibility for their actions. They put is in rentals and my husband still has the rental F-150 and his truck still sits at Elder with a dead battery and God knows what else! These people are crooked and liars! I want to be sure NO ONE else is taken advantage of! My husband and I have been not on good terms because of all of this. I refuse to let them break my marriage!! Updat: The GM Dan reaches out to me to see what could be done to fix this. He offers me a check to catch up my payments on my car. I said the only thing that I would like is my husband in a new truck. After a few weeks we were told we had a loan approval and to come sign the papers on a truck on 3/25/20. They were not going to let us take delivery of the truck until the bank did a new customer interview and we had our call from the bank on 3/27 but because we didn’t have the truck we had to call them back. We picked up the truck on 3/28 I called the bank on 3/31 and they said they didn’t have our paperwork yet. I call our finance person at the dealership and no call back until 4/1 and we were told the bank would not approve the loan because of our interview that we never did!! The final outcome was they put a new battery, a oil change and 4 new tires on my husbands truck. They also had to fix the power windows that were stripped and still now 1 is still not working. I also received a check to go for my car payments but it will not catch me all the way up but at least it’s something I guess. I believe in what goes around comes around and I will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. I’m just happy to not have to deal with them again. More
