Subaru Crtosstrek 2019 recall. I got a letter in the mail about ignition coils and other engine issues related to it, rear stablilize bar and so much aclaimed: free (40$)multipoint inspection. After the coil replacement?? and check the rear stabilizer bar the "xxxxxx" just pull out from the garage bay and bring the keys to the front(I was there and see everything). What multipoint inspection?? The car was not even test drive to see how the engine behave after the so call "ignition coil replacement". Not to mention multipoint ispection.What multipoint? They inspect the lugnuts on the wheels?? They are 20 of them.(hence the multipoint!). I have a noise in the rear and a clunk when I shift .That sould be pickup during inspection.Car has 69000 miles on it.But no, just get it out as fast as they can.I understand that they don't make money on warranties and recals but this is to much! My previous visit results was also horible. I complain about the oil consumption.They check the engine(I pay for it),they change the oil(also pay for) and ask to come back in 1000 miles for check up. xxxxing xxxxxxxx added one inch! of oil over the maximum limit on dipstick. Just to saftely say there is no problem with the engine.I have take picture of the overfill engine. This is the level of kraftsmanship at "ertle". Never again! First service for my 2017 Kia Soul I bought at Ertle. Weeks in advance to make an appointment, but brought in for their Express Service and they did the oil change and inspection in less than an hour. 6 times I had my car in for a parking brake cable problem and all 6 times it was not taken care of. OH yeah, they'll upsell you anything but fix the original problem... not a chance. In 18K miles I've had 3 sets of pads and 2 sets of rotors that cost me a few hund... and I will give it to them that they did replace all pads and rotors but not the cable. I drove off the lot, got about 4 miles away and the back brakes locked up, burned up and I was stranded on an interstate on a Friday afternoon and I had to pay 100 bucks to have my car towed home because it was undrivable. I was told that "new brakes do smell". Yeah but they don't lock up and cause the car to shake and burn! NEVER again will I bring my car back. They screwed up my 2019 to on a recall as well... 4 times for that one too. Sorry guys. I love the owner and their sales people but I wouldn't trust the service department to freeze a popsicle Totally done with them! 2 cars over 2 years and in the shop 11 to 12 times. Maybe Subarus suck. More
The service wast perfect, I believe the Stroudsburg office is one of the best companies i have dealt with. The personnel are so friendly with all that walk into the office , including sales and servic office is one of the best companies i have dealt with. Chris who was the salesperson i dealt with was excellent in all details of my SUV, plus Dave in the finances who went over all details and explanation of my new SUV.
