Brought my truck in for a recall. I asked the service rep to check the battery as a battery light had been coming on. Tech advised no work would be done and no charges would be incurred without speaking to me. I called to check on status of recall and was advised that I was being charged an hour labor for diagnostic efforts. I didn’t authorize this work. As a result was advised I needed a new alternator. I advised the tech to finish the recall work and not to perform any other services. Upon picking up my vehicle, I noticed that the door trim had not been fully reinstalled requiring me to perform that repair. I then brought my truck to another repair facility and was advised I did not need an alternator but simply required a new battery. A significant difference in service and price. I was charged for a service I did not authorize and then I was going to get charged for an unnecessary repair. I am still looking to have a credit issued for the unauthorized service performed and incomplete recall efforts. Completely dissatisfied with my experience.
