Used Car Purchase I emailed in about a Ford Fusion Hybrid they had on their website around 11pm on a Wednesday. I got a quick email reply back about who I should expect a call from and their numbers and work hours if I wanted to call them myself. I got the call back about midday the next day. The salesman told me the car had been purchased that morning, but had another to offer. Even though it was more than I initially wanted to spend, I am quite pleased with the choice of the fully loaded Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. The Fusion was smaller than I thought and of course, less luxurious. The added $5K I paid for the Lincoln with about the same mileage was well worth it. As the salesman I was dealing with over the phone would not be at the dealership at the time I could come pick it up, he arranged another salesman to handle the paperwork in his absence. I was quite pleased with that and the follow-up call with me the following Saturday to see if I was happy with the car and the deal they were able to make me. This is the second Lincoln I've had and the first Hybrid. I've already put 325 miles on it and am getting the published and hoped for gas mileage with it! I was already paying about $400 per month for fuel on a 2002 Jeep Liberty LTD that got about 33% the city MPG's that I am getting with the hybrid. While the hybrids are a bit more expensive, ultimately I am paying $53 more per month for this car in a loan and $50 more per month for the insurance coverage and have a long-term warranty yet on the car. If you drive a significant amount like I do, you'll probably find a new(er) car with a warranty is good way to go to add reliability as well as luxury and more bells and whistles for little to no added expense from what you have been paying, when all is considered. More

We went in with an out-the-door price we were willing to pay, for the model we had chosen, and within ten minutes they said yes. And believe me, we know our price was really aggressive. We left nothing on the table. Their test drive process was also the easiest and least intrusive we had experienced than at any of the other dealers we had visited. Ryan, the salesman we worked with, took a copy of my driver’s license, gave us the keys, and said he would see us when we got back. All of the other dealers we visited insisted on coming with us on the test drive, which makes it hard for us to adequately evaluate the car. After we had agreed to buy the car, they went through all of the aftermarket items, like extended warranty and corrosion protection, but it wasn’t the “hard sell” that we have experienced during other car purchases. Lastly, Fair Oaks was by far the most generous in the amount they gave us for our trade-in. Dealing with Fair Oaks was truly a positive experience. More
