Nice building and amenities but still bad sales tactics We visit the dealer because they had a model of a car we wanted to drive and we were near by, so when we showed up we immediately informed the salesma We visit the dealer because they had a model of a car we wanted to drive and we were near by, so when we showed up we immediately informed the salesman what two cars we wanted to see. It was a nice facility with coffee, movies, ice cream--definitely felt more comfortable than other dealers with the seating area featuring a gas fireplace. One of the cars we wanted was at the Arlington location (we had already test driven an older model of the same car so this wasn't detrimental) we decided against the GMC Terrain which we test drove and left to look at other cars, no pressure to consider more vehicles on their lot before we left which we appreciated. they relocated the Chevy Equinox to the Burleson location so we came back to drive it and took it out for an hour or so before deciding to enter into negotiations. This was when my interest in the dealership fell through. 1. we made an offer and the sales manager came to talk to us and treated us as though the mere attempt to get the car for a lower price was insulting 2. Sale manager kept saying that no one comes to Burleson therefore they offer the lowest price possible just to attract people--as someone from a town of 300 this does not endear me to that dealership if they think that is a useful tactic 3. trying to keep us at the dealer (even though it was closing in 30 minutes and we had already spent 4 hours with them) the same manager brought a list of newly traded cars to see if we might be interested, a wasted effort as all cars were in the same price range as the one we offered a lower price one. 5. A week later called saying we could now have the vehicle for the price we offered but when we requested documentation on the vehicle's inspection and wanted the accepted price in writing-- told us they couldn't do that price 6. contacted us about a Terrain which we already expressed we did not want Ultimately they were a pleasant facility that became taxing and time wasting thanks to a sale so manager that soured the experience--will be avoiding them from now on More

Stevie Landers, at Family Toyota, was the only one that didn't blow my email or voice mail up asking me if I got their price quote. I had told her we we're going to hold off till my wife was done with radiation treatment and up for looking. She did, we kept in contact over the next 2 weeks. Others we're as nice as she was. When we got do the dealer everyone was nice and pleasant. Stevie took some time to get to know us a little and we her as well. We went over the different options then on the test drive, back to her desk and the paperwork. Asked if I wanted to do a credit application said no cuz was pre-approved. After talking and then talking to Bryan Woodard, and explained why didn't want to do application. He said he would only run it on 2 places. Well I got a proved at a lower rate, thank you Bryan. I am so happy that I went to Family Toyota. More
