I went to buy a car at my local Mercedes dealership and trading in my vehicle. I found the car I liked. I gave the sales person my keys to go appraise my vehicle. So the sales person comes back with the sales manager-two representatives that represent Herb Chambers Company apologize to me because they say my car has a salvage title and hands me my car fax report. I told him that information is incorrect my car has never been salvaged and they looked at me with a smirk on their face as if I'm lying. I go to my insurance to see what's going on and come to find out after visiting my insurance agency the two so-called professional sales manager and sales person who represent Herb chambers Company gave me a carfax with a salvage title was to someone else's vehicle, not mine. (I wonder how much private information they share and give out to customers that doesn't belong to them). Here I have in my hand someone else's Carfax with a salvaged title. I called the dealership to let them know this is not my car or Vin number that they had given me and he apologized. Very little trust that I still have left, I chose to give them a second opportunity because I live 1 mile away from the dealership. So I go into finance office after they gave my appraisal for my vehicle, so as I am in finance office getting ready to do paperwork, I see that they tried to charge me $6000 over MSRP. At that point in time I got up asked for my refund and I will never step foot in that dealership again or any other Herb Chambers dealerships. Is this the way Herb Chambers trains his sales managers to treat his customers with his name on the building? After leaving the dealership, I felt like I needed to take a shower because I felt like I was in a sleazy used car dealership back in the 80s. More
