I purchased a certified pre owned Mercedes c300 on Sunday July 31 2012. The experience with the sales and finance guys was excellent. Both Daniel in sales and Mike in finance were great. Unfortunately for me, I had the car for only two days before having to leave on a trip with my job. When I returned on Friday and drove my car to work I noticed the smell. I phoned Daniel only to find he was on vacation for 3 weeks. The car has an extremely strong, almost toxic, chemical odor trying to cover up cigarette smell after it’s been sitting in the sun all day. I don’t know what they put on the interior of the car before I drove it home because the smell wasn’t noticeable when I went for a test drive. Now I have to keep the windows rolled down while driving as it is impossible to breath and I am afraid what I am breathing is indeed toxic. I called and emailed Fletcher Jones MB several times, was finally referred to the pre-owned sales manager (Paul Kraft) who was absolutely horrible and would never call back when I was told he would be getting back to me. When I finally spoke to him after calling him several times, he actually told me to get it cleaned myself. He did say he’d reimburse me for the cost, but I have no idea what to get or where to take it. I’ve already spent 3 hours on the internet to no avail trying to find something that will help. I’ve owned Mercedes before, my 2003 c320 which I also purchased from FJMB was my dream car. The ride was exceptional, smooth and always a pleasure to drive. This new car is a certified pre-owned 2010 c300 sport model. It has the low profile tires and the ride is horrible. Once out on the I5 you feel every bump and crack in the road. The smooth ride that I was looking forward to is no more. I asked if I could trade out these expensive tires for regular ones to help with the rough ride, but Paul the pre owned sales manager whom I was referred to since my sales guy is on vacation would have no part of that, he flat out refused to trade them. As beautiful as it is, I hate driving this car. I wished I’d looked at other cars before being swept away into the sales office after test driving only this car on the pristine roadways of Newport Beach. I spent a fortune on a car I dread getting into everyday. I would not recommend buying a pre-owned car from Fletcher Jones, you do not get that excellent customer service that seems to be reserved for the New-Car clients. More

I very much Appreciate the Direct and Professional Sales Practices of Dennis Banner and the Fletcher Jones MB Team (as this was my 3rd Purchase/Lease with Fletcher Jones MB and 2nd with Dennis Banner). I Love Mercedes-Benz Superior Products (we currently have a 2012 CLS63 AMG, 2012 GL450, 2011 C300) and I am amazed everyday how Mercedes-Benz exceeds my expectations! I also Love the Fletcher Jones MB Service Department and Leslie Lorenson is an Asset and/or Superstar within your Organization! I also Love your Preferred Owner Program including your OC Airport Parking/Shuttle Service! I have done business with a number of Car Dealerships, Purchased a # of Auto's Over the Years including but not limited to 6 different BMW's, 1 Jaguar, 1 Range Rover, 2 different Porsche's, 1 Bentley CGT, various Classic Cars, and I have even recently worked with other Mercedes-Benz Dealerships including the House of Imports in Buena Park and Mercedes-Benz of Anaheim; with all that said I believe the Fletcher Jones Customer Experience is Unique and Special! I would compare it to the Ritz Carlton of Auto's and the Description that comes to mind is its the Gold Standard! My only suggestion or yellow flag for the future would be to audit your pricing structure or systems in place at Fletcher Jones when determining the appropriate values on trade-ins. The only reason I did business with another Mercedes-Benz Dealership Besides Fletcher Jones was their ability to offer me more value for my trade-in and still honor the same deal or very similar pricing on the new car or purchase/lease. In one case the difference was in excess of $4,000. Otherwise, Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz owns my business going forward... Tommy and his assistant Jason Nihm were by far the best individuals I've ever done business with at a car dealership. I normally don't believe in perfect scores, but their service was of such high caliber individuals I've ever done business with at a car dealership. I normally don't believe in perfect scores, but their service was of such high caliber that I had no choice but to give them a perfect score. Tommy and Jason exhibit the highest qualities a sales person might have: fairness, diligence, knowledge, intelligence, and service. My purchase fairly hassle-free; the transaction was completed in a very speedy and efficient manner. Lastly, Tommy and Jason definitely have their clients' best interests at heart. I have had some truly horrific experiences at car dealerships, so I was dreading going to F-J. Especially because their tactics were rather transparent - an appointmant maker hounded me until I cave dealerships, so I was dreading going to F-J. Especially because their tactics were rather transparent - an appointmant maker hounded me until I caved in. But, you know what? I woudn't have caved unless I was ready to. We made an appointment. I had some idea of what I wanted, and how much I wanted to pay for it. Yes, they have an off-site lot that they drag you to. Their inventory is overwhelming, and begs the question - database, anyone? But, you know what - I was able to see all the colors in natuural light, and see all the options before fiddling around in a database, and I was able to get through to the Associate what I really was/wasn't interested in. I was also able to see that they sure had alot of cars to move - which gave me hope that I could get them down to my $. Somethign I noticed though, which I haven't really seen anywhere else - an impeccably arranged back lot. It sounds weird- but too many of these back lots have double-and triple parked cars, associates waste crazy amounts of time looking for keys, etc. This was like Martha Stewart had just come though. When we went back to the main office, the negotiation dance began. Since I had done my research I knew what $ I was aiming for, and I knew I would walk if I didn't get it (Yup - I'm a walker-outer). The manager and the Associate were pleasant, non-judgmental, and really worked with me. I was surprised, considering past experiences I've had at Toyota, Honda, Volvo, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti and other MB dealerships. Sure, it took time. Sure, it took several bites of the apple. At one point I left and had lunch. Still, all told I was in and out of there and had lunch in about 2 hours. The car prep took less than an hour - a record of all the dealerships I've been to. I was impressed. I wound up with the car I wanted, without pressure to add bells/whistles, as quickly, efficiently and respectfully as possible. That last point is important - I am a woman, and used to car dealerships being jerks to women. These guys weren't. I'm sure they have their off moments, but I had nothing but a good experience. I will go back there in a few years for the next car. More
Rating would have been better if the people I made the appt with were there. Not sure who's fault it was, but after phone call confirmations, they were not there when I came in on time. I would especially like to compliment Justin, who showed me how everything works on the car. He is an asset to your dealership. They said the car was getting "detailed" but it looked like they just wiped it down. I noticed today in the daylight that the car mats look grey when the inside is tan, seems odd. Can't wait to get the free car washes !! More
I truly appreciated once again the level of customer engagement and attention Brandon Freddie provided in getting a vehicle that met most of my desires (my fault here since I wanted 2012 stock) and all engagement and attention Brandon Freddie provided in getting a vehicle that met most of my desires (my fault here since I wanted 2012 stock) and all of my needs in a timely and cordial manner. Brandon put together a good deal for both of us and Feddie knew all of the systems backward and forward. TO cap it off, Angel broke the paradigm for finance people in that she knew the "after sale products like warranty and insurance" but didnt try to "ram anything down your throat" just help you understand the options and not make the process a marathon event. Great customer interactions, fair price, great product and a pleasant overall experience is why I saved FJM as the last stop (I always look around to be an informed buyer) on my car shopping this time and then bought there because in the end you never disappoint me --(not to mention the airport parking which I use EXTENSIVELY). More
I have leased four Mercedes vehicles in the past and to be honest I was really looking at BMW and other manufactures. I went to these other dealerships prior and may last visit I went to Mercedes. I was determined to not buy a car until I visited each location and again I was probably going with another vehicle manufacturer. When I showed up to the location, around 7:30pm, I was greated by Pon Shen. He was extremely knowledgable and very easy to work with... to make a long story short- He and the entire crew of Fletcher Jones stayed past 10:00pm to make sure I was not only sold on the car, but that the car was washed and detailed prior to leaving. The City of Newport Beach, makes Flether turn the lights out at 10:00pm so Pon, my wife and I, finished everything up in the dark so to speak. I kept telling him that we can finish up tomorrow and he continued to stay it wasn't a problem... Wow! He never rushed us and he and the entire finance department couldn't of made us feel more relaxed. When I went back a couple of days later to pick up some items left inside my trade-in I was again greated by Pon with a bag of my items left. He introduced me to Matt Rhoads who again spent a lot of time going over all the new features of my new vehicle. I would recommend them to anyone I come into contact with and Fletcher Jones needs to give these guys a raise! More
