Review is for the advisors at the service department at the Folsom Lake Toyota location. I had a maintenance appointment today (08/26/24). When I made the appointment I had listed that I would be waiting the Folsom Lake Toyota location. I had a maintenance appointment today (08/26/24). When I made the appointment I had listed that I would be waiting for my vehicle. I also told the advisor I would be waiting for my vehicle in the service department. My advisors forgot he was my advisors and never notified me my vehicle service was completed. Thankfully the janitor asked him as I was the only customer left that her realized he forgot. My vehicle was completed 5:19pm. I was still waiting at the service center at 630pm. Thank you to the janitor who provided better customer service than my advisor. I have had 4 maintenance appointments sofar at this location. Experienced working with 3 advisors. 2 of the 3 have been aweful. Paul is the only advisor I had a positive experience with. Unfortunately Paul was not available during this appointment time. Paul is amazing. With the exception of Paul..this has to be the worst experience I have had with any service advisors. I have had cars serviced at a variety of places in the area and never had any issues. Aweful !! I would rather drive to Maita Toyota in Sacramento or Thompson Toyota in Placerville than come back to Folsom Lake Toyota. More
They have been consistently delayed for at least the last 3 appointments. One was 45 minutes late. Started off great… ended horribly! They told me they had put a vehicle theft prevention device on the car as a service to their customers. And it was an additional $499. I couldn’t fin They told me they had put a vehicle theft prevention device on the car as a service to their customers. And it was an additional $499. I couldn’t find any information about this device on the site. In the dealership, I said I didn’t want it on the car, they told me well it’s already been installed… they repeated again that it was so if the car was stolen, we’d be able to track it. I figured how bad can it be…. (?) (Two people there told me they could not uninstall it. ) Got home. Went into the app for the device And found out that it’s a tracking device. It had tracked every single turn I made all the way home… every stop….and time stamped location and times every couple of minutes during each trip I made as well. Absolutely no way to control it and tell it you didn’t want that tracking to occur. I called the dealership insisted they tell me how to get the device off my car. Turns out it’s attached to the side of the battery. Took me all of two minutes to remove it. Interestingly enough, it had not tracked my test drive of the vehicle, which indicates that they in fact, installed it after I had twice told them I didn’t want this feature! I’m livid! And apparently out $499. More
On August 11, 2024 we had a better service and good deal at Folsom dealership. Our customer representative, Ken Sinaki, showed us care and attention. No pressure. We are enjoying our new sienna.
