We bought a 2025 Pilot EX-L on 7/30/24. Demetrius (our sales guy) was phenomenal. He was very easy to work with and truly cares for his customers. The car we bought was a demo car (meaning Demetrius (our sales guy) was phenomenal. He was very easy to work with and truly cares for his customers. The car we bought was a demo car (meaning it had been a loaner). It was pouring the rain when we left so we just drove straight home. On the morning of 7/31/24 I noticed the inside of the car was still dirty so yet another day I didn’t get to drive the vehicle. That afternoon my husband called and they said we could bring it in to be detailed. My husband made an appointment to bring it in at 1pm to be detailed. I looked in the car again after work and noticed black grease or dirt stains on the ceiling, grease on the seats, then we noticed someone else’s personal belongings in the vehicle. We found kids toys and someone’s bank records, a form with someone else’s account and routing numbers on it. He takes the car to the dealership this morning, 8/1/24, to address the issues. Finding someone’s personal belongings in our vehicle was unacceptable. Especially since that was confidential information. We were told we would be able to swap the vehicle outright and that they would make the situation right. Then we were told if we swap the vehicle we will have to pay more money. We said no. Then we were told they can’t swap the vehicle. The only person being honest with us was Demetrius. The managers we spoke to all gave us different conflicting information. I had to take time out of my work day to go up there because I was told I needed to be there to sign new papers. I waited an hour and a half and I was told 3 different stories. We were about to go in to sign the new papers and they came to tell us again that they actually can’t swap the cars and all they can do for us is detail the car which should’ve been done in the first place. I left to go back to work. My husband stayed to wait on the car and to speak to the general manager. The general manager said he did not want to deal with it and refused to come speak to him. While he waited, the salesmen were the only ones who would even speak to him. When the lady brings the keys to him she says they have finished the detail and did a 9/10 job and said we can bring it back next week for them to get it right. We will never purchase another car from Forest City Honda. Demetrius was the only person who truly cared about getting us right. Forest City Honda is under poor management and it truly showed today. Pathetic. More
