John was extremely unprofessional when I asked the service department for a break down of my bill- which was VERY over priced. He criticized my fiancé who had tried replacing a bulb himself by attacki service department for a break down of my bill- which was VERY over priced. He criticized my fiancé who had tried replacing a bulb himself by attacking him saying, “I mean what’s your technical background?” I love Toyota and have driven it for years, but experiences like this make me hate dealerships even more. To be a manager of a department and act so unprofessional is comical. I think he needs to work on his social skills and how to keep his temper in check. I was extremely upset when I left because of how the situation was handled and how John verbally attacked my fiancé and I for simply asking why the bill was so high. More

I purchased a used Murano from Fred Anderson in July. We saw the car listed, but then had to wait 10 days or so while the car was in their shop being refurbished to the quality they like to maintain on t We saw the car listed, but then had to wait 10 days or so while the car was in their shop being refurbished to the quality they like to maintain on their used cars. After that, the sales process was good in that the sales rep brought the car to our home for a test drive and waited while we tried it. He was very pleasant; filling in all the paperwork and picking up the car was also an easy experience. Sadly 3 days after purchasing this car, the engine overheated after the first half hour of a trip to the mountains; we had to have the car towed to the nearest dealer; it turned out the radiator and radiator hose needed replacing. In addition, we had to rent a replacement car to continue. I find it difficult to believe this had not been picked up by Fred Anderson as the car was in the shop for over a week. We did buy the car 'as is' but I expected that the car would have been properly inspected by Fred Anderson which clearly was not the case, or worse was known but they sold it anyway. After spending over $1,000 on the repair I contacted Fred Anderson to express my disappointment at this, but received no offer to help with this or to apologize for the cost and inconvenience of having the car towed. The lesson from this is that the Fred Anderson brand does not give any more quality or protection when buying a used car compared to buying from one of the many small dealers on Capital Boulevard More
