Started strong Gave Toyota of Sanford another chance. I live equal distance from this location and Hendrick in Apex. I have visited both and keep wanting to give S Gave Toyota of Sanford another chance. I live equal distance from this location and Hendrick in Apex. I have visited both and keep wanting to give Sanford the edge because I enjoy the smaller town atmosphere. A previous visit (not the most recent) left me a little disappointed because they left the vehicle number they hang from the mirror on my floor. They also discarded the next service due trash on my floor (I have completed a survey and made the same comments before). New visit - I had four tires mounted and balanced, an oil change and some new wipers installed. My tire monitor light was on and I figured one of the tires may have been low (wasn't concerned since I was changing the tires out anyway). Mr. Lopez was excellent upon my initial interaction with him, very friendly. He also suggested I go ahead and get a complimentary wash, to which I agreed. I was quoted 2-3 hours and was pleasantly surprised when I was advised my vehicle was done less than 2 hours later. I pay for my services (Chan was very friendly) and Dani advised my vehicle isn't quite ready they have to finish the oil change and wash the vehicle. I wait a while longer and am told my vehicle is ready out front. I get out front and again the trash from the next service due and vehicle number placard are discarded on my floorboard. The vehicle is bone dry and obviously has not been washed. The tire sensor light is on, but flashing which I did not notice before (I had only noticed a steady light before). I go and explain all of this to Dani and he says let me check with the tech. Dani returns and says the tech said the light was flashing already and a sensor is bad. I told Dani I did not believe it was flashing before, but it had been on. Dani just continues to reiterate the tech said it was flashing. I ask if it can be fixed and he does not offer any comments other than the tech said it was already flashing (I am more than willing to pay whatever fee to fix the sensor during this time, but its obvious I am not gonna be offered that opportunity). Dani states he will take the vehicle and have it washed (for real this time) and I told him I no longer wanted to have it washed. I do not understand why you would not inform me when you have my tires off and are replacing them that the sensor is bad. I hear service advisors come in all the time and tell people an unknown issue was seen and do you want to fix it as well? Now I am gonna have to pay someone the labor to remove the tire(s) replace/program the sensor and find the time to go to another appointment, when it could have been fixed all at once. I am also disappointed about the trash thrown on my floor, again. It is not a crazy amount of trash, I get it, but it just feels like they don't care about my vehicle/experience. More
Went bery well Dropped off my car. Told the attendant that I would return in an hour. When I returned, the oil change had been completed. Needed a new battery for Dropped off my car. Had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get the new battery. But all went well. Love that you put the car through the washer when I have it serviced. Can't remember the names of the people that I dealt with, but they were very courteous. Since I could not close out this review without selecting one person I selected one person. Not sure if that was the person I dealt with. But everyone was very helpful. More
I called in to make an appointment to have my car serviced and asked as I always do if there is anything that my warranties don't cover that I'll have to pay for. After being told no I arrive to fin serviced and asked as I always do if there is anything that my warranties don't cover that I'll have to pay for. After being told no I arrive to find out that the cabin filter has to be changed and I'll be charged almost $50 for that to be done. By the way this is a simple task that I can do myself a lot cheaper, but I'm not allowed as it would void my warranty. This is the third time I've been misinformed or lied to by the call center. The service manager offered to put the cabin filter off until my next appointment so I'd be aware of the charge before I go in. I agreed as it was my only option other than come with money that I didn't have at the time. I bought my car the day before Thanksgiving of 2014. At the time I purchased everything that was offered for warranties including tires for life which is not offered at purchase anymore. I am going to get a copy of my agreement with you on my next visit to verify exactly what I'm paying for since every visit since I passed 60,000 miles I've had to pay for tire rotation. I know I could be wrong but I thought that was included with the tires for life. I know that 2 visits ago I was charged for tire rotation and yet they were not rotated because one of them had a leak that did not move from where it was originally. I didn't mention it in previous reviews as the tires were replaced the following visit. The company wants to have happy customers but it feels like being screwed by someone while they smile and say I'm sorry this is the way it has to be doesn't suffice. The service manager and the person handling my service did what they could for me but I feel that was only because I got loud in front of everyone there. After I went into the lounge I was asked by no fewer than 3 other customers what happened and they then proceeded to tell me how they felt that they were be screwed over by your company. More
