We were referred by a friend to see Matt Carlton. He treated us as if we were his friend. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and an all around nice man. We were looking at three cars in particular: 202 Sheridan & sales manager Richard Lewis: 5 ⭐'s all around! Saturday (5 /1) was car shopping day. We were looking at three cars in particular: 2021 Corolla Hatchback XSE 2021 Civic Hatchback Sport 2021 Kona SEL We had 4 dealerships to visit with their offers from True Car and our budget in mind (do your homework before heading out). 1st dealership: not enough stock but the sales rep was nice, zero pressure. 2nd dealership: priced way too high (didn't know we had True Car numbers even though we were invited to the dealership) and the sales rep let us walk away, didn't even try to work with us. 3rd dealership: Freehold Hyundai was as easy as can be. Actually they were better than that. Sales rep Jim Sheridan was very professional, knowledgeable, personable with zero pressure from the start. We meet sales manager Richard Lewis before we left, another straight shooter who asked us what we needed and before we signed anywhere else to give him a call, he'd do his best to get our business. 4th dealership: Didn't have the car offered that brought us there but honored the numbers with a different car, we just couldn't get the final numbers where we needed them. Plus we wanted to check out the Hyundai Venue. So we ended up back at Freehold Hyundai to check out the 2021 Venue Denim. Jim Sheridan got us the keys for a test drive, we were happy with the car and all it came with for the price. So now it's between the Kona in black or the Venue. Sales manager Richard Lewis came to us with excellent numbers for both, it was just a matter of which one to go with. With all it came standard with we went with the Venue cause even though there's nothing like a clean black car, that lasts for 30 seconds. Thank you to all the other behind the scenes employees who got our new car prepped and our paperwork done after business hours. More
