I have experienced excellent customer service from the staff at Fremont Toyota. I asked to be transferred to the service advisor who worked on my vehicle he told me truck was done and they needed to order some parts. It would take a week or two. Months ago I took my Camry in for an oil change and tire rotation , waited 20 minutes at least (with an appointment ,) to be checked in. I waited 4 hours for my car to be done. The service advisor assigned to me is never cheerful, a bit rough, but this weeks appointment for a car repair she was unkind, disrespectful and plain rude. I brought the car in and when explaining how long it would take (approximately 2 hours WITH an appointment) for them to even get my car up to look at it, she proceeded to speak in a degrading tone very condescending like I was a child. Super insulating. I let it go as everyone can have a stressful bad day…I literally showed her the area on the car and explained the issue. I picked up the car the next day and was told it was “fixed” but when I got home I noticed they did not fix the area I showed to her earlier (where a part fell off). I phoned and the office transferred me to her directly and she was CLEARLY xxxxxx as I said “hi, this is …” and before I could finish she cut me off and replied “I know who this is” in an aggressive tone. So day 2 even a worse experience with her . Isn't part of their actual job description Customer SERVICE ? I explained the car was not fixed and she spoke over me when I tried to tell her they did not fix the issue she stated , “I am not a mechanic” the conversation was pointless so i asked that a manager or shop foreman be there. She is beyond abrasive with zero people skills. I arrived to the service manager who was kind and clearly is aware how to defuse a situation. He was great but it never should have come to that. I explained that bring the car back in was not my complaint but her attitude , rudeness was. No one should speak to a customer like that …ever. Pricing for some "official OEM" parts is outrageous. If you want to update the maps for your automobile GPS, a SD card must be purchased. The Toyota parts price is $202.80. The price on Amazon for a compatible SD card is $18.99. Fortunately, the local Toyota service manager will allow me to return the map card. However, consider that once you insert the SD map card for your Toyota GPS, the card may no longer be used. The car's card reader renders it unusable when you remove it. So, get the Amazon map card and try it first before buying the OEM version from Toyota, because your local service manager may not accept its return. More
