New Travel Trailer, Great Salesman and So Excited I just picked up my brand new Winnebago Micro Minnie Travel Trailer yesterday at Fretz RV. After much consideration, lots of questions (my ?) and load I just picked up my brand new Winnebago Micro Minnie Travel Trailer yesterday at Fretz RV. After much consideration, lots of questions (my ?) and loads of looking, my salesman and I were able to find the perfect camper for me. It is everything I needed and wanted and then some. Now I’m ready to pack it up and hit the road. THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF at Fretz RV for “making my wish come true”. I had what I thought was an emergency situation, Friday, the night before I was to leave on my first trip with my new RV. I didn't know who to call, so I called Luke, my salesman. Behind the scenes, he made some phone calls on my behalf. At 8 PM that night, I received a call from Steve Fretz, who arranged for me to be "squeezed in" first thing Saturday morning. The service crew got me on the road by 8:30 AM!! What a team and what customer service. I am very grateful that they went the extra mile to get me fixed and on the road. I expected my BRAND NEW RV to be inspected and clean - NOT I expected my new 2019 model travel trailer (shipped for me directly from the manufacturer and arrived at the dealership over a week before I showed u I expected my new 2019 model travel trailer (shipped for me directly from the manufacturer and arrived at the dealership over a week before I showed up to take it home) to be prepped and clean. Not the case... e.g. scratched and mismatched kitchen counter top and it had a filthy surface. Service and sales people were surprised even though they had it for at least a week for prepping, and I had a pick-up scheduled. During the interrupted walk-thru by a couple sales people, it seemed they were not sufficiently familiar with the trailer (except for a non-involved long-term sales person who happened to walk by). Also, originally I was told a two week delivery time + 1 week to prep and install a camera, when in fact it took just over 5 weeks and no-one called to keep me posted (I had to do the calling/emailing). The camera installation - no one could find the tow vehicle dash display (which I had to ask for). It took about an hour for someone to finally decide to get a new one off the shelf. The followup to that is that, now that I'm at home, I discovered that I have to climb up the back of the trailer TO ELECTRONICALLY MATE the display to the camera! I might as well have not paid $400 for installation!. ALL IN ALL, THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT, CONGENIAL, WILLING TO HELP when I showed up, etc. But too much nonsense when I got there. The financial person was excellent. I think the overall issue was basically lack of leadership or coordination among the various departments and staff. As with most RV dealerships in my experience, NO ONE seems to be in charge of followup... i.e. who maintains and is on top of the delivery schedule, work checklist and, who worries about delighting the customer??? Yes, I would shop here again... but I would keep close tabs on the process for sure. More
