Buyer Beware...my personal experience with this dealership was horrible. After a few days of negotiating my deal on a 2020 XT4 selling for $37,787 including dealer fee of $699 which is clearly sta dealership was horrible. That evening i received an email from the GM Joe Ownes asking me if there is anything he could do to help with my buying decision. So, i replied to his email that i needed a better price. On Monday 12/26/21 my salesperson Kevin (which was great) called me and told me the dealership Galeana Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram had agreed to my buying/offer price $36,500. I asked if that included the $699 dealer fee (on the advertised price this fee was included) Kevin said he would have to check, he promptly called me back and said no, that didn't sit well with me so i asked him to go back to his boss and ask for that to be a part of the deal. Kevin called me back and said they would remove all but $200, i told him i felt like they were taking advantage of me and wanted to think about it. Twenty minutes goes buy and i got several phone calls from the dealer which i could not answer at that moment, then a follow up text saying the car had been sold to another Cadillac dealer for $39,000. Then i get a second text from the dealer saying it was sold on Smart Action for $39,000. I'm thinking that something shady is going on here. That evening the car was listed on their website for $39,500. They fabricated the sell to an action then raised the price $1713 more than original price. Very deceiving business practice, if the vehicle was truly sold why not just remove from the website?? When i brought this issue to the attention of the GM (Joe Owens) on Monday12/27/21 afternoon he said he was not aware of this and would look into the problem. He then called me back and said he believes i am a Stright shooter like him. Although i am a Stright shooter, I'm not like you Joe. I do what's right by the customer (making the buying experience memorable/enjoyable for customer. That's how you grow a business Joe, not by being untruthful and deceiving. Joe, you were given the chance to sell me the car at the agreed price, instead you choose not to do the right thing. Its situations like this one that leaves the average consumer hesitant of shopping the old fasion way, going to a dealer. Perhaps that's why more and more consumers are switching to a more modern way of shopping like, Carvana, Vroom, cars.com, Truecar. If you are still reading this, I would strongly encourage to take your business elsewhere, where the buying experience will be rememberable/enjoyable. 1 More
We moved to the area and I called Galeana for a 60,000 mile checkup. I was treated like I was wasting there time. Galeana's service department is the worst. I took my wife's 2019 Wrangler in for issues with her radio. I got the run around when I called for an update, so I told him to just have it ready and I would wife's 2019 Wrangler in for issues with her radio. He said he texted my wife saying that it was in the middle of an update and that he had been communicating with her all day. I had screenshots from her phone proving that he contacted her once in the morning saying they had the vehicle and then several hours she asked for an update and he told her he would look into it. She never heard back from him. His name is Matt and I highly recommend avoiding him. Then the service manager came out to talk to me. Billy is his name. He was super helpful, at first. He made all kinds of promises about having the Jeep done in 10 minutes and that if it had anymore problems, he would replace the radio with no questions asked. 3 or 4 days after we got the Jeep back, the radio completely stopped working. The screen went black for several hours before coming back on. My wife called Billy and let him know. He gave her a line of crap about that being somewhat normal after an update and that if it happened again to call and he would take care of it. Fast forward to this weekend. The radio was out from Saturday morning until Monday morning. My wife and I have both called Billy and can't get in touch with him. The first girl I spoke with wanted me to make an appointment to have the radio looked at. AGAIN. I refused. I told her I'm not bringing it in until the radio is in stock and ready to be installed. Very disappointed in the service department! I called a week in advance to schedule an oil change, tire rotation, and to have a side appearance piece replaced on my Jeep. The lady I spoke to said there was no need for an appointment that I could use the express lane. I told her I would like to make sure the part was in stock. She said she would transfer me to parts. I spoke to the parts attendant he confirmed the part was in stock. Told him I was coming to get oil change on Wednesday and asked would they be able to snap it on for me. He said yes service will put it on. It’s literally an adhesive piece that pops in. He reserved it for me and said see you on Wednesday. I pull up in the service drive today and was greeted. Let him know I was here for oil change and I had a part reserved to be put on. He said someone would be right with me. Another kid came over and greeted me and said someone would be right with me. I was the only car in the service drive this entire time. Finally a service advisor in the first position looked over and said “ Has anyone helped you, yet? “ ( nice greeting , huh) i said no they said someone would be with me in a minute. He then asked what I was in for. I explained and that caused the frenzy. He started questioning me as if I was being interrogated. He was very annoyed that I was told I didn’t need an appointment. Then he just calls someone and leaves me sitting. I can hear him on the phone saying I need mechanical. I said look if it’s that big of a deal just give me the part and I’ll put it on. Just give me the oil change. Then I sit there awhile for a manager to come out ( he requested the manager, not me) and start questioning the whole thing again. Now this manger was not so bright… he walks up to my car and starts examining the side that don’t need the part for and asks so i don’t see where you need this part! I said well obviously it’s not on that side! He goes to the other side and I get out of my Jeep to join him. I ask are you the manager ? He said well I am not the service manager but the body manager. I said ok well I am not sure what the big deal is here . I already told him just give me the part and I will handle it. Just get me back for the oil change. He then starts explaining the wrong doing of the staff. I said look it’s not my problem the staff didn’t follow your process. I need an oil change. Still can’t grasp the fact of the Non appt they I was told I didn’t need! I said just forget it. I’ll take the part and be on my way and get my oil changed somewhere else. I parked my car to go to parts and stopped by the sales desk and asked to speak to the GM. Of course that manager wanted to know what happened and I explained. He said he was at lunch and took my information. When i walked back through I stopped by and showed him the part that caused all this nonsense and he says they said you refused to be taken back! I was never offered to have my Jeep taken back but yes I cancelled the whole thing. I was done! As a manager of a car dealership myself , this is inexcusable! The advisor should have never been upset over this. He should have explained to me the process instead of questioning me as if I did something wrong and trying to find out who didn’t do their job correctly. All he had to say was we are supposed to have an appointment for this but I can go ahead get your oil change started and get back to you to see if we can install the part! It would have been simple and understandable! Instead he was not friendly from the very initial contact and he made a simple issue turn to pure frustration. It was ridiculous! I will never go back again. Of course, the GM never called me or the Service Manager! Why would the customer be right at this place? Unbelievable! More
