Gary Rome Hyundai

I had a great experience at Gary Rome Hyundai. The people there are low key and relaxed,and want you to feel comfortable. I recently bought a 2013 Accent and worked with sales rep, Michael Pijar. Mike was warm and friendly and had excellent knowledge of the car. I was interested in the Accent hatchback, so the sales managers searched for one for me. During the search, Michael called me several times to check in with me and let me know what was available. Since I purchased the car, I have called Mike with questions around the gas mileage (I haven't been able to get 40mpg highway, as Accents are supposed to get) and every time, Mike has been kind and patient, trying to help me to have the best experience possible. I would highly recommend Gary Rome and Michael. It's such a relief and joy to walk into a car dealership and be treated respectfully.I am also happy with my Accent, although I still have concerns that I may not get close enough to the 40mpg highway expectation. I was having an issue that I was originally told would not be covered at all under my extended warranty. After going in to talk with the service guys, they said they could look at it and find out from th not be covered at all under my extended warranty. Everything was done very quickly and professionally. He even offered to have my car washed (which is something I have never been offered before. He called me when they figured everything out and set up to have me picked up from work and to be brought home until it was ready and then they picked me up again. Phil was able to explain everything to me in a way I could understand and I left feeling very confident that everything was done properly. Thank you!! More

I visited Gary Rome as I was interested in purchasing a new Hyundai Accent. I salesperson I dealt with on my first visit was Michael Pijar and he immediately put me at ease. He treated me with respect, never tried to get me to upgrade to a fancier version than I wanted (as they did at both other dealerships), and the price he gave me on my first was the price I paid when I purchased the car a month later (they also did this at the other dealerships). Michael answered the million questions I had as this was the first brand new car I had purchased with patience to spare. Considering how stressful it is to buy a car, Michael actually made the experience fun. I had the wait for the car I wanted to become available and Michael kept me up to date with everything that was happening. He made sure I was satisfied with everything before, during and after the sale was complete. He called several times after I purchased the car to make sure that everything was going well. He even called me 4 months after to wish me a happy birthday! Dealing with Michael was the main reason that I decieded to buy from Gary Rome. All the other employees I dealt with were great as well, especialy the Loan/Finance Dept. people. They have always provided prompt – courteous service with a smile. They have continuously provided me with clear – accurate descriptions of the cost and service to be performed. A few steps away from the Service Department is where a different breed of professionals labor their days away. The Sales Staff is friendly – informative – and eager to answer any customer questions. Most noteworthy is John Linnehan. He sold me my first car and was available to sell me the second car. He never made me feel pressured and keeps the customer in a comfortable frame of mind. With his vast knowledge and ability to deliver the information with his low keyed voice and broad smile, it is nearly impossible to walk away without buying from John. While my wife and I were processing the financial and administrative documents, John was busy registering our vehicle with Blue Links and assembling other informational materials for our use. He systematically explained all important features of the vehicle and demonstrated many of the electronics in the cabin and under the hood. He spent nearly two hours of his day off from work to insure our needs were met. His demeanor, and that of the entire Gary Rome family, will definitely mean I have one place to shop for my cars. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a new or used vehicle shop around, but, do not buy a car until you have visited the Gary Rome family in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It will be a day and night comparison and a rewarding experience. More
