I purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport in the beginning of June of 2021. Shortly after purchasing it I realized the back door locks weren't unlocking, I originally assumed it was possibly in the beginning of June of 2021. Shortly after purchasing it I realized the back door locks weren't unlocking, I originally assumed it was possibly just child locks activated. Upon further inspection it wasnt and it was different doors on different days. It had seemed to be the locking mechanism was just failing, no matter if I used the key fob or the button on the inside of the driver's door. I notified the sales of this issue and that I was not happy with the purchase of this vehicle due to having children and not being able to get them out of the vehicle easily with the locks not working. I have not been able to properly lock my car either for peace of mind. When my car finally went in to the service department 3 months following the original complaint I was told by them that this was a previous issue on this vehicle and that all of the parts have been replaced with the previous owner so they had no idea what it could have been. They held my car for 3 days with no answer. They told me they would get ahold of an engineer to come out to look at it to see if it was a computer issue, they said it would be about two weeks Not to mention when I purchased this car not once did they disclose that this car had a previous lock issue, so with it being a certified preowned vehicle I looked at the checklist they provided and everything was checked off, including the section for window/door lock operation, even though I have clearly had issues with the locks since day 1. After telling me it would be two weeks for the engineer I waited a few more weeks. About 6 weeks later I decided to give them a call since I never heard anything back or any type of update. Within a week they finally were able to schedule something for December. That appointment comes up and then the night before it ended up having to be canceled due to the engineer not being able to come in. I use my car for work daily and can drive upwards of 150 miles just in one day. I have children and also intellectually disabled individuals in my car everyday for work as well, there has been several instances where they have not been able to get out of the car due to the locks not working which could easily cause a behavior and injure themselves or me. I cannot even lock my car while at the grocery store or even home and am at higher risk of a break in, that my insurance wouldn't fully cover due to me not taking proper precautions. This car has caused extreme issues and 6 months later nothing has been resolved. *As of December 9th I do now have an appointment for December 14th, so we will see what gets resolved* More
