Good morning Mr Faizi, Thank you for your response. I have to tell you that I was quite disappointed when I did not hear from Ms. Mackoff or Mr. Cruz before this. I wrote to both of them over a week ago. They both have my personal email. I would be more that glad to email to you the letter that I sent to them. The complaint above just about sums up the experience I and my son had when dealing with Towne Kia. As far as doing anything.... what do you think could be done? Because I do not see how anything that occurred that day could be reversed. The only thing I ask is that my son is not given the same "treatment" when he is called to pick up his tags and registration. And.... possibly informing your Sales Manager that he has caused a customer to pass the word in every forum possible, about his unprofessional actions. I want to mention that our Salesman was not involved in the issue. Hussien was helpful, and pleasant. He seemed to understand that the customer is a valuable asset, unlike Mr Perez. I am sure you are asking why we continued this purchase...well, by the time we got to the nasty part...the car had been paid for, my son had arrived, insurance secured and we already were sitting in TowneKia for about 3+ hours. Tired, frustrated and the thought of starting the process again was not an option at that point I had a long ride to my NJ home in South Jersey. As I filed the paperwork, I noticed on the document envelope your motto..... about the "e" in Towne... the only "extra" that I received was EXASPERATION! This experience is certainly a keeper....one that will be talked about with many! My husband and I are Car People (love cars...change and try new all the time) and deal with car dealers often...... with that being said, I can assure you that no matter where, or what kind of vehicle purchased, we have never been treated like we were at the hands of Mr Perez. Dear Julie Tiger; I have looked over your paperwork and spoken to all involved in your buying process. Our vehicle was originally priced at $12,999 and was listed on the Internet for a discounted price of $9,999 plus all applicable taxes and fees. Original Sale Price: $12,999 Discounted Price: $9,999 Used Car Prep Fee: $289 Optional Etch: $199 Tax: $734.09 TriVin Registration: $5.70 DMV Fees: $109.50 Documentation Fee: $249 Total: $11,585.29 Upon your arrival, an aggressive negotiation back and forth ensued. You wound up paying a total of $10,650 out the door. That is an additional savings of $935.29 well above and beyond the $500 coupon which is not to be used with any other advertised price, promotion or discounts. Based on NJ Lemon law (N.J.S.A. 56:8-67): a vehicle that has more than 60,000 miles and is sold below the price posted on the window sticker ($12,999 in this case) forfeits the warranty given and is sold ‘AS-IS.’ This is not our policy but that of the law. My apology is for the way that this was presented to you in the heat of your buying process. It is never my intention for a customer to feel the way that you did. I want you to know that you and your son will be treated with the utmost respect at any time that you enter our dealerships. With the money saved from your superb negotiation an extended warranty can be purchased. I would like to work with you directly so that you may pay a discounted price for the warranty of your choice. Even though Kia makes award winning vehicles, its residual values are not as high as those of our competitors. The lower the residual value, the higher the lease price will be. Since the Optima Turbo has just come out, Kia Motor Finance does not offer a subsidized lease program on that particular model. We only have a competitive lease on the base model. Not having a lease special and having lower residuals values could be the reason why our lease payment was higher than more expensive vehicles.
