Just to let you know how much I dislike the customer service we have received with this service department, the free oil change you sent in the mail is going in trash. Live 80 miles out of town, and making an appointment is useless. Does nothing for you as I was informed by men taking vehicles in. Was told it was very busy, and it would probably be 3 hours till they could get it in. I explained that I had an appointment. He said all that did was let the cousterm know they were excepting cars. Some of the cars ahead were left for pickup at the end of the day. It didn't matter. My place in line was set when I got there. It didn't matter that unless I wanted to drive two vehicles, my wife and I would just have to set there. What's funny? I was running a little late, and I called to let them know. Bet they got a good laugh. The good thing is I live about the same distance from Abilene and the hyundai dealership there is not Genne Messer. They could not believe this story, and an appointment there is honored. I would like to know if the other Gene Messer dealerships service department works this way. Customer service reps are very nice. However the service technicians did not fill up the washer fluid after stating all things were correct. I was traveling through when my car needed service. I was told to make an appointment. My car went to the shop on June 1st, 2023 due to a flood that happened and needed multiple repairs. I filed my insurance claim and they found Gene Messer Hyundai service center for my vehicle to get the nee that happened and needed multiple repairs. I filed my insurance claim and they found Gene Messer Hyundai service center for my vehicle to get the needed repairs. It took about 1 month for everything to get replaced. I was unable to get my car out until July 19th due to being charged for rotors and break pads. Which I was under the impression that they were getting covered by my insurance, had I known they weren’t I wouldn’t have gone through with said repairs. It was recommended to get them replaced but it was not made clear that it would not be covered by my insurance. Fast forward to when I pick up my vehicle, I noticed hail damage that I had not had when my insurance claim was made. This happened between the time frame my vehicle was at the dealership. Now I have excessive hail damage and there’s nothing I can do. After further inspection, I found lots of hail damage all along my vehicle. Then, Friday July 20th my vehicle’s check engine light turned on and began to not go past 65mph and had a code reader say it was my transmission and to top it off Sunday July 23rd my vehicle completely died on me twice. Which has left me stranded and to now not have a vehicle and out $1,000. More
