I walked into this dealer at the end of December to purchase a new Subaru. My wife and I had a Subaru Forester in mind. Brian worked well with us, helped us narrow down the car, and we got it for a great price, with accessories of our choice. Thanks Brian. My next car will be bought at Gerald Subaru. On a side note, Adam, from the Service Department is the most wonderful person I've ever met in Service. I was promised a 5pm appointment, and all the technicians had left. Instead of sending me back home to downtown Chicago(from Naperville), Adam took it upon himself to complete the service. Amazing customer service. More
I highly recommend Gerald Subaru in Naperville and Sandy Jackson in particular. I've owned 3 Subarus and so my questions throughout my process were fairly particular... Also, she was accessible, trustworthy and very easy to work with - not the typical pushy car salesman at all. She was far more interested in determining the best fit for me than closing the deal. Gerald as a dealership stands out, they offer a very unique service guarantee and they are reasonable in their pricing. I had legitimate concerns about the performance of the car I ended up buying (I went from a turbo XT to a H6, as the turbo XT outback is no-longer made by Subaru) and instead of a sales pitch that ignored my concerns, they acknowledged the real questions I had and allowed me to take the H6 home over a 3-day weekend to test it out. In my mind that went above and beyond... and allowed me to get over the fact that I was trading in a pretty hot/fun car to drive and accept the bigger picture/advantages of the H6 in-spite of the loss of performance (better fuel economy, bigger, newer trumped the 0-60 performance fun of the turbo xt). Anyway... long story short, the people at Gerald (and Sandy in particular) are passionate about cars and very reasonable and trustworthy... good people. More
Real simple, rude! They treat customers really bad, as if they are not concerned. They have a good deal going, if you could tolerate the staffs rudeness. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. They had a good selection of cars and made me a good deal. I would recommend them to others. When, on a lark, I asked John to determine what trade-in value my one-year-old Outback would have against a new Forester because of the fallout from the disasters in Japan, the results came back favorable. value my one-year-old Outback would have against a new Forester because of the fallout from the disasters in Japan, the results came back favorable. Overall, I would recommend this dealership and this salesman. For the size of the lot, Gerald Subaru Kia has a great selection of new and used vehicles with prices that can accommodate most budgets. The salesman, John Smith, was friendly and helpful. He greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and stuck with us until the sale was complete. When inspecting the cars on the lot, John even pointed out some things to consider when looking under the hood. He was not at all pushy, but still eager to earn our business. The sale process took much longer than we anticipated because there was a new finance manager; but through the wait, John sat and talked with us/entertained us, which seemed to go above and beyond from a customer service stand point. While John was great, in the four and a half hours we spent at this dealership, a manager never introduced himself or stepped in to the negotiating process. We visited the dealership on a rainy day and there were only a couple of other customers that stopped in. Still, a manager never came over. This almost lost our business. If not for John and not for being pleased with the car we drove, we might have walked. More
By Far the Best Customer Service - Sandy Jackson treated us with respect and trust. Bought a Forester from her on my first visit because she kept her word - my friend also bought a Forester from her and ano us with respect and trust. All three of us could of haggled and negotiated as a group to save a few buck, but that wasn't necessary because she was very upfront and professional. Mr. Chuck Panagakos the Finance Manager was very honest and helpful with all the numbers and paperwork. Overall an excellent experience - Definitely ask for Sandy Jackson if you're planning to visit Gerald Subaru in Naperville. More
