Keith was very courteous but I felt he should have looked up my account and knew what kind of warranty I had before giving me a bill for $124. When I complained and told him my warranty covers the filters, up my account and knew what kind of warranty I had before giving me a bill for $124. When I complained and told him my warranty covers the filters, he checked and agreed and minuses the charge. I felt he was taking me for a ride because I am a widow and 78 years old. Shouldn’t he have checked my warranty before charging me $124? I felt like I was being taken. Keith said I needed a Brake Fluid Flush to the tune of $162.11. I questioned that because I never remembered doing that with my other Toyotas at a mere 20,000 miles. He said it needs to be done every two years. By this time, I did not trust him and told him no. Keith was very courteous, professional, and a very nice man, but I felt I was taken advantage of money-wise. When having two previous service calls Gettel’s Tech never put an updated sticker in the corner of the driver’s glass. Keith made sure they did it at Monday’s appointment. When I brought in my car for the 10,000 checkup,, another Service Advisor asked me what I wanted done I said “You are supposed to be telling me what needs to be done, not the other way around.” I said “Do you want me to google and find out what is covered on a 10,000 mile checkup? That is what I did. I also asked Keith about the recent warning letters about the corrosive wiring and fuel smell when opening up the hood. He said I would have to book an appointment with a Master Mechanic. When I picked up my paperwork, I accidentally picked up Keith’s paperwork and I saw a Recall Notice stapled in the pile of documents. Has there been a recall Notice I should be worried about? I did not want to discuss anything more with Keith. I would like someone to call me about the above issues, but not Keith. More
