Fairly Pleasant New Car Buying Experience Walking in with some research in hand. Greeted by Von M. Test drove a base model 2016 MDX as I intended. I don't know what the impression the general public has on car salesmen but Von is a very personable car rep. I can't say the same with others in the same dealership who have had some sort of business to do with me though. Granted, Von is only the first liner. He has all those other higher-up position people behind him. They will throw a tons of numbers and options that you mostly will never need. Just know what you want and stand firm on your ground. Von will work hard for you to get it. I was able to negotiate on my own terms and to get what I thought was fair. You, as a consumer, just have to do your own research, know what you want and, more importantly, what you need as well as what you can afford. If you happen to have the need to check out any new Acura at this location, ask for Von Moore (get his number and call/text. They all have emails but they don't check them as often as you and I do). I was referred by a couple of co-workers that had bought from this location and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the time I walked in, to the time I left the lot with my brand new car, I was treated with nothing less than EXCELLENT customer service. Mr. Wade West was my new car sales consultant. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and all around great person to work with during this entire process. I even had the New Car Director, Jose Herrera and the General Sales Manager, Chip Cottingame take time out of their busy schedules to introduce themselves. They without a doubt worked to get me a great deal on my brand new car. As someone that truly values customer service, this place is by far the BEST place I had visited during my car buying process. TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY GOING TO THE DEALER So I take my 2012 Acura TL in for the recall on the airbags to be placed on the waiting list. As I was talking with the service agent, someone took my car to the back for God knows what cause all I was doing was getting on the waiting list for a new part. Later that day, I notice my car was sounding funny. The next day I was driving and my battery light comes on. So my husband takes my car to an Acura dealership in Arlington and they put it on their machine and nothing wrong came back, just needed a new battery. Purchased a battery car was fine. The next morning was leaving for work car would not start. Got my car towed back to the dealership in Arlington now they are saying my alternator went out. REALLY????? But not even 24hrs later your machines and mechanics said nothing was wrong. I am confused are you, I know thing happens but I haven't had any problems with my car until I took it to the dealership. Do you need money that bad to sabotage customers? No wonder why people rather take their cars to shade tree mechanics. I GOT MORE THAN I BARGAINED FOR!!!!! More
