This vehicle has the engine oil monitoring, and it has been needing to have the oil changed about every 10,000 miles per the monitor. The service advisor told me that warranty may not cover repairs if it been needing to have the oil changed about every 10,000 miles per the monitor. The service advisor told me that warranty may not cover repairs if it isn't done every 5,000. I'm confused. Or is this just a method of increasing service revenue? Why would the manufacturer say one thing (they build and test the vehicles, and determine the service frequency) and the dealer say something else? More
