Gorges Volvo Cars has been recognized as the preferred Volvo dealer serving our region since 1957. Back then our founder Fred Gorges and his 2 brothers first formed a relationship with Volvo in Wichita Kansas, where the Gorges brothers operated a successful import business. When they were approached by Volvo to start selling cars in the United States, Gorges Volvo Cars was born.
After some time in Kansas, Gorges Volvo Cars eventually relocated to Omaha where we've continued our successful business for 30 years. We attribute the success of our new and used Volvo dealership over the last three decades of serving Omaha, Lincoln NE, Fremont NE, Sioux City and Council Bluffs IA, to the fact that we are 100% dedicated to maintaining our strong family values and extending those values to our customers. Series of unfortunate events Bought a pristine used 2013 Volvo C70 convertible in February. Blew the transmission hose due to driving over ice boulder after just a few weeks. H Bought a pristine used 2013 Volvo C70 convertible in February. Blew the transmission hose due to driving over ice boulder after just a few weeks. Had to have car towed in and repaired. Later discovered leaking transmission due to bad ring on hose so towed in for repair a 2nd time. Later had remote door lock relay switch go bad and could not start car so had a 3rd tow to dealer for replacement and had a bad starter so it was replaced. Not to mention when I bought the car I assumed it came with 2 keys but was not told there was only 1 key until after I bought the car so had to pay extra for them to provide a second key, but to their credit they split the cost of the key. I am glad that I bought a 3 year warranty on this car. Have spent $300 on repairs and the key replacement since I originally bought the car. Without the warranty I would have spent an extra $1,000. They did make everything right in the end but for a while it looked like I had purchased a lemon. More
