I bought a 3.6, 2014 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman from Kia Greenway East in July of 2021. Overall, six months later, I am satisfied with the trucks performance (no issues at all, knock on wood), but I am incr Greenway East in July of 2021. Overall, six months later, I am satisfied with the trucks performance (no issues at all, knock on wood), but I am incredibly dissatisfied with Greenway Kia East’s performance. I dealt with Pedro as my salesman. He was very professional, patient, and thorough when it came to selling the truck and answering all of my questions. My mother even asked to tag along and she came with me. Of course she gave Pedro a hard time, but he was very patient with her as well. I thank Pedro and applaud his professionalism, patience, and attentiveness to us (his customers) while the sale was being conducted, and I can tell that he treats all of his customers the same way. He does indeed, deserve that recognition. Kevin, the sales manager, is who I finalized my papers and documents with. He treated me the same as Pedro and I felt that, while I was there, he was a great example of the 4.2+ star rating that the company had. He was very transparent, honest, and helpful in making sure that I found the best rate and lender. I really felt like I was in a good place with good people while I dealt with these two gentlemen. If I remember correctly, I was with Pedro and Kevin for a few hours, ultimately. The store had closed (they stayed late in an attempt to make the sale), and all but one lender had responded with an offer to me, so we decided that I would come back the following day to allow time for the offer to come through. The following day, I looked over my offers, and I signed for one. If any of you are looking at their pricing online (and are attempting to get financed by CapitalOne like I intended to), be aware that the prices displayed online are not what they will offer you at Greenway Kia East. They are inflated once you get there (some literally 7+ thousand above the advertised price online and some above the Kelly Bluebook value). I chose my truck because it is a discontinued model that has all of the upgrades that I wanted to perform on my future truck anyways, so the specific increase on my truck was worth it to me. When I left with the truck, I had been made promises and contractual deals that the company was supposed to honor. This is where my issues with Greenway Kia East arise and where they have failed to honor their promises and verbally agreed upon (and what were supposed to be) contractual deals. 1. The truck had not been detailed or cleaned in the least by the time I bought it because they hadn’t had time to get to it yet. It was parked on the sales lot (or was at least on a lot that you could view the truck). I saw another review on here that complained that it looked like the lot had cars that were not yet cleaned; this was true when I was there. I was promised by Pedro that he would get the truck detailed for me, but I would have to return with the truck. It had dog hair, dirt, sand, and dust everywhere. It had very, very dirty upholstery on the seats that needed to be treated and shampooed. He promised me that he would have the truck detailed and to just call/text him and set up a time in the near future. 2. The truck sounded and felt like it had an off-balance tire. Pedro promised to have this looked at and fixed when I brought the truck in for the detail. For whatever reason, Pedro told me to keep these two promises between he and I. I am a project manager for a construction company and I explained that I would let him know when I have time to come by so that we could agree on a time to drop the truck off. One month after getting the truck, I texted Pedro to set up a time to come in. I did not get a response from him. Having a separate company vehicle and staying very busy, I hadn’t even put 100 miles on this truck yet and it was in the same condition as when I picked it up. I texted Pedro again two weeks (or so) later (still having not have added even 100 miles to it), asking if I could bring it in, and I was given a simple “yes” as a reply. I called to clarify and verify a time and date. I did not get an answer and I have not heard back from Pedro. I had to pay to have the tire serviced and I have had to (deeply) detail the truck myself. The best part? When I lifted the back seats (2014 Ram seats fold up, not down), roach droppings were everywhere underneath them. Cleaning and sanitizing every inch of that area was a blast, let me tell you. 3. As previously explained, I came back to Greenway Kia East one day to view all of my finance offers. I had one offer still pending the evening before so we all agreed that it was best if I returned the following day in order to give it time to process. When I returned, Kevin explained all of my offers for me to weigh out. One of them had a price increase from the previous and most expensive offer that was $3,000.00 more, but it came with (most notably) GAP insurance and two years of oil changes. The GAP insurance stuck, which is great! But you know what didn’t? That’s right, the two years of oil changes. Kevin looked straight at me and told me that I had this, and when it came time recently to bring the truck in for an oil change, it turns out that it isn’t in fact a part of my contract. I later called Kevin and asked him what was going on, and he told me that he would look into it and call me back. He has not called me back. So now I’m changing my oil and oil filter myself when they’re due, at roughly $70.00 each and every time. And if I want to pay someone to do it, it’s roughly $120.00. I intentionally waited to write a review for Greenway Kia East, Kevin, and Pedro because I wanted to make sure that they followed through with their promises before I praised them. This is a key area where a companies integrity truly resides - their follow through. Especially when it comes to car sales. As you can see, they were great when it came to selling me the truck; spotlights were all on me and I mattered to them during that time. But after? I don’t matter at all, and it’s obvious. They got their commission and completed their missions of selling the truck for as much as they could. And in the end they just ended up making themselves happy, while I’m the one left reeling. As a project manager that has multiple promises to fulfill every day, I suggest that Pedro learn to follow through with his promises to his customers on his own accord, instead of leaving them wondering and waiting. And if you can’t fulfill the promise and/or aren’t willing to make the effort to ensure it happens, don’t make it. I suggest that Kevin be more honest or learn to be more attentive to his paperwork in an effort to keep important promises (like two years of oil changes) from falling through. I mean, really. What good are your guys’ promises if you don’t honor them? Either you’re intentionally being misleading or you’re behaving in a manner that is unprofessional enough to the point that its allowing these mistakes to happen - which ultimately, neither are better than the other. Last, I suggest that Greenway Kia East resolve these unacceptable practices that are happening here. I mean, at least vacuum the vehicles before you put them on display or sell the thing! Come on! For those of you reading this, my suggestion is not to do business here, but I won’t definitively tell you not to buy from Greenway Kia East. I will just tell you, do not leave there unless your vehicle is cleaned and check your paperwork for each and every deal/promise that they make to you before you sign anything. As you can see, they’ll take advantage of you if you allow them the opportunity to, whether it’s intentional or not. My rating is a reflection of my entire experience here. It goes without saying that I’ll never do business here again. They can’t fix this at this point and even if they offered, I’ve already addressed the problems because I simply don’t trust them or their false promises anymore anyways (let alone the fact that this overall experience makes me question how good their technicians might be, too). And if they did offer, the sad part is it’s only because I posted this review. Not because Kevin and Pedro are following through like they promised and should be doing. Good luck with your car shopping everyone and look out for yourselves, because judging by my experience, this place won’t do it for you in the long run. More
On 1-8-22 I tired to order a 2022 Telluride. The previous day I contacted them and told them I wanted to order a certain Telluride trim with specific option off their website and submitted a worksheet off th day I contacted them and told them I wanted to order a certain Telluride trim with specific option off their website and submitted a worksheet off their site. About 20 minutes later they replied via email and text, the replies did not address the trim package I wanted, but pushed the EX trim with all options (Red Flag #1) I arrived the next day, got through the usual "feel you out" questions to see how much they can get out out of you. I presented the build sheet from KIA site (note: On 1-6-22 the price for the trim I was going to order was $32,790 base w/o my additional options and the next day the Chinese government said they were slowing semiconductor production due to US sanctions, and when I updated my build sheet it adjusted the new price to $33,090 so I had the up to date prices) and the games began. She came back and said the manager could not build the car at the price the KIA site quoted, that it would be "SLIGHTY HIGHER". I spent 20 minutes after the listening to her dodge my question on how much higher, until I told her to get the sales manager or I was leaving (RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE). Sales manger came over with her and manager refused to even start to work up my official build sheet from KIA website until I agreed to pay the $15,000.00 market adjusted price. I told him I had City KIA of Orlando try to rip me off for $7000 market adjustment, he then said, "if you can get it for $7000 over cost you might want to go there", This is the reason people hate dealing with these scammers. When this "semiconductor shortage" madness ends I really hope they get what is coming to them. Inflation through the roof, high gas prices, everything over priced and they price gouge people. The female sales person, I believe Alicia, had no idea how to sell cars and not informed on how to order cars. She kept telling me that I could build a car from the KIA site and I told her you could not. I pulled up the site on my phone and went through the whole process and said to show where the submit button was, the only option was print and take to your local dealer. More
TL;DR: Sale Rep Matt= great and the only star on this review Financial Officer, Olu= disrespectful and did not help after signing paperwork and claimed I was "wasting his time" So if you value YOUR review Financial Officer, Olu= disrespectful and did not help after signing paperwork and claimed I was "wasting his time" So if you value YOUR time, I'd recommend staying FAR AWAY from this dealership. All the details to help others considering this location: I recently purchased a vehicle at Greenway Kia East and quite honestly the only good experience and service I received was from my sales rep, Matt Westberg. I contacted Matt via email asking him about specific models I saw in stock online and he was able to help me find a vehicle that fit my needs. He was great at communicating via email and listened to all my wants and needs in a vehicle. Everything outside of my interaction with Matt has been nothing but a headache and terrible customer service. I signed paperwork with the financial officer, Olu, after having to come back multiple times to file paperwork. The day I choose my vehicle, it was too late for paperwork as Olu already had a line of people to work with. 2nd day, I wait 2.5 hours just to be told that because I had out-of-state insurance I could not drive my car off the lot until I had FL insurance. Understandable but I made it clear from the beginning that I had an out-of-state Driver's license, tag and insurance so coming multiple time after work is inconvenient. 3rd time is the charm, right? Not in the case. I finally sit down to sign papers and there are so many numbers all over the printouts and as I read through all the documents that I was signing and asked about the figures, Olu was frustrated that I was taking my time telling me that "he had more people to help that night", "the numbers won't change", etc. I sign for extended warranties out of confusion, impatience, and dealership tactics but am told they can be canceled within 90 days. Call my husband as I drive off the lot, feeling like I made a HUGE mistake and go back to that same night to rewrite paperwork and cancel the warranties. Olu says the paperwork cannot be changed and its "too late". He wouldn't even make me a copy of the form so I had to take a photo. Spoke with my Credit Union (CU) and they tell me to go back, the dealership can fix the problem, or to return the car. I go back to the dealership not wanting to EVER deal with Olu again and he's the only one available and then proceeds to raise his voice at me and asks "why are you trying to waste my time?!". When I told him what my CU said, he said he'd be calling them. The main financial boss, Hicham, calls me the next day to say the paperwork can't be changed but a check will be sent with the canceled amount to my CU. Fast forward almost a month, my CU still hadn't received the check so I email my sales rep. Olu THEN calls and says the paperwork was lost and asks if I had a copy (no, only a photo bc he refused to make a copy for me) so that he can expedite it. I emailed AGAIN a couple of weeks later as my CU still didn't have the check and I asked for a response before contacting Better Business Bureau but did not get any reply even to this day and it has been another 2 weeks. Called my CU every week and they FINALLY got the check, 1.5 months after my paperwork. Also, my car was "certified pre-owned " but still had things I had to go back to the dealership for. One trip required service in the shop and I left it over my weekend. Come back to pick up my car and the check engine light is now on. The service center is closed so I text Matt to ask what I should do and am advised to speak to a manager. The manager tells me that it's fine and if it stays on to bring it in for service. I'm not sure why the engine light would turn on after they serviced it and I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced to bring it back as it shouldn't have been cleared with a service light on. This manager seems annoyed that I didn't want to have to come back for an issue that wasn't present when I dropped my car off and reluctantly went to look at the problem. He got the light to turn off and I hope I never have to return! More
Had my 2017 Kia Sedona towed in because it was overheating and had issues with ac controller and power sliding doors. After 2 months my car is still not completely repaired. Today I had the car t overheating and had issues with ac controller and power sliding doors. After 2 months my car is still not completely repaired. Today I had the car towed out because I wasn’t waiting anymore. They may not have been fixing my car for 2 month but they were doing something… my hardwired dual facing camera was found unplugged and all video of them with my vehicle for the full 2 months has been deleted from the SIM card. I went immediately to the dealership to discuss how this was going to be resolved but instead I was told no one was available to help me with the matter and to come back the next day. When I advised I had called the sheriff in order to file a police report I was asked to leave because they were closing and needed to lock up the doors… scared to even allow myself to imagine what was done to my car, done in my car and or what they did with the video footage that was on the SIM card of myself and my kids driving in the vehicle for the time prior to coming to the dealership. Brion was my salesperson and he did great. However, Keven (the sales manager) just sucks. When we purchased our Kia telluride we were told it had 2 keys to the vehicle and that one was being mailed to the de (the sales manager) just sucks. When we purchased our Kia telluride we were told it had 2 keys to the vehicle and that one was being mailed to the dealership from the previous owner. 7 months later, multiple phone calls (being hung up on, messages taken with no return call, and even my number and name given to the GM for a call), and a trip to the dealership where I was told (from Kevin) they would call me with more information on the key. I still have not received any phone call or my key! Very very terrible customer service. I’ve never felt like I was being dodged by someone so they wouldn’t have to follow through with a commitment. Funny how when you want to buy a car they can’t leave you alone… but when you want to complete a deal that was made, once they’ve been paid they don’t care to deal with you…. Also, my wife took care of the paperwork and wasn’t given the finance options. We came pre-approved and they claimed that they do not use capital one? That’s like saying they don’t accept a visa or MasterCard. She also wasn’t provided with the information about the service contract that was purchased for another $3,300. More
