Jennifer did a nice job taking our damaged car from my wife, Tuesday March 11, but after that there was poor communication. She did help with the cost since we were paying out of pocket and we appreciated that. After not hearing anything for about 10 days, I contacted the dealership and was told by Noah that Jennifer was on vacation and he was taking over. That was on Monday March 24 and I visited the lot to see the damage for the first time and found my Sportage parked under an oak tree full of pollen, bird droppings and leaf debris- it was trashed. My wife also requested the windshield heat screen be placed on it while it was there and that was no put up either. Noah said the vehicle may be ready by Tuesday evening, but it wasn’t ready until Friday the 28th. I called the service department on Wednesday to check on the progress, Noah’s cell phone and it was not set up for messages. I texted him also and never heard back after Monday. I called the service department and the phone rang and rang after trying to connect with him and it hung up after about 5 minutes. Jennifer contacted my wife’s number on Thursday saying the car would be ready possibly by late Friday. When I called and asked for her with the service department, the phone rang and rang and did the same as my previous call and disconnected. Jennifer did call us Friday and said the car was ready for pickup and I told her I appreciated her reducing the price of the repair from about $7200 to 5900, part of that was that the bumper did not need replacing or painting. After I saw my vehicle trashed on your lot, I told Noah I wasn’t happy and he apologized and said it would be detailed before I picked it up. Your detailer just did a minor cleanup of the outside of the car, not the roof where pollen, lead debris and bird droppings were. There was also debris along the base of the windshield and any crack along the doors, tailgate and roof that was exposed. I saw other cars out there that were trashed similarly. My car was always garage kept. I spent 2 hours detailing it when I got home Friday evening. More
I’m extremely unhappy in the dealership’s presentation itself. While I know they have a fee facility coming they really let this one go into the ground with so much deferred maintenance. My service advisor was great in his communication and meeting the promised timeframe but the cashier staff and other folks felt as if they couldn’t be bothered. It really annoyed me that they charge a random $5 surcharge for shop supplies. Those are part of your cost of doing business and incredibly tacky in my opinion. I will not go back to this dealership as I felt nickeled and dimed and not valued. I also sense there isn’t a sense of price in this location considering how rundown it is. It’s a shame that they have the Kia flag on their location. More
