After researching different car models online, I began focusing on the KIA brand due to the value of the car. I wanted to trade in a minivan for something a bit smaller but still allowed my mother (who ha focusing on the KIA brand due to the value of the car. I wanted to trade in a minivan for something a bit smaller but still allowed my mother (who has mobility problems) the ability to get in and out easily. I stopped by on a Wednesday to do an initial test drive. I first met with Mark who answered my questions about the 2 models I was most interested in : 2013 KIA Soul and 2013 KIA Sportage. I did 2 test drives, but wanted to think over the purchase. I came back 2 days later on a Friday night. I met with Mark again who just started at the dealership and he was assisted by Gemoi. Gemoi and Mark did an excellent job. When my mom tried to get into the drivers seat she wasn't able to get in without discomfort. He went out to the car and made some adjustments and asked her to try one more time. She was then able to get in without any difficulty. He let us take the Soul home for the night to do some test driving. We live about 30 minutes from the dealership, so this was a great chance to see if car was a really good fit for us, more than can be done during a 5 minutes lap around the block. We came back the next day, very happy with the car. I do not have the best credit and the minivan we were trading in was 7 years old with 100,000 miles. Gemoi worked with the finance guy David and they were able to get me into a deal that was a lower monthly payment than I had on the van with a great 10 year warranty. David received a number of declines for my credit app and 1 taker, but at a 16% rate. We ended up waiting about an hour while he made some phone calls. He was able to get me a 5.9% interest rate. The rate on the van I was trading in I had been paying had a 22% rate. David could have presented me with the 16% deal and I would have been happy with that. But he asked if I was willing to wait another 30 minutes to see if I could get that better deal. I probably gave this dealership 10 reasons not to sell me the car I wanted at a price that was good for me. Poor credit. Trade in had negative equity. I only had a portion of the requested down payment. I told them I wasn't interested due to the initial complications from my mom's disability. They met each challenge calmly and communicated how we could overcome it. This is my first new car. I couldn't be happier. I wasn't talked into a model I didn't want. I wasn't shown the door after my credit check. I didn't have some young jerk get frustrated dealing with an older parent's special physical challenges. This was a great experience. Hopefully the same quality of people will be there in 5-6 years when I want another new car! More
From the minute we walked in the door everyone was friendly and very helpful. They really worked as a team. Amore was our salesperson but he was busy once and one of the other salespersons jumped up friendly and very helpful. They really worked as a team. Sales Manager Hamza was very helpful and was there to assist when ever we had a question. Finance guy David was plain simple and fast. We told him he made it painless. While waiting on something that was being checked out. Donald engaged us in a conversation and actually took my I-phone and set up the app for UVO. We will be picking up the car on Monday and Donald offered to help Amore (since he is new) train us on the tech part of the car. Outstanding service by all. Paulette Campbell More
I simply came to the dealer to see how much cars were. Jospeh came out to the parking lot and listened to my situation. My daughters and I recently decided to go car shopping for a Kia Soul + and started at City Kia on Orange Blossom Trail 7 miles from our home. Our experience there was less than savory especially after o for a Kia Soul + and started at City Kia on Orange Blossom Trail 7 miles from our home. Our experience there was less than savory especially after our Sales Consultant John asked me if I was married -- not seeing a man with the group, and asking me what line of work I was in. He immediately became condescending, patronizing and assumed that because I was a woman I did not know much about cars outside of putting the key in the ignition and steering, the old boys club mentality. He quoted me a price of $27K+ for the Kia Soul + we had test driven with a take it or leave it attitude. His attitude and condescension left an unpleasant taste that had my daughters and I leave with no intention of ever returning to a Kia dealership. The girls greatly disappointed after a few days begged me to try one more dealership, those Hamsters had really gotten under their skins, and so we drove the additional 12.23miles to Orlando Kia West. Upon entering the dealership we were warmly met by reception and immediately introduced to Rabii. Needless to say, I was still on the defensive from my earlier experience, and told Rabii of my recent dealings with City Kia advising him that if Kia West was of the same vain to let me know immediately so I could take my business elsewhere. Rabii was not phased and apologized for my unfortunate experience and immediately set about putting us at ease. Despite his politeness and his pleasant yet "salesmanny smile" my level of distrust was still heightened. As Rabii started to ask about my needs and the reason for my purchase, he offered suggestions but also acknowledged that I was an educated consumer who had done her homework and leg work and was informed about the product. Rabii treated us with respect and made helpful and honest suggestions regarding my purchase. I very quickly lowered my guard as I felt this sales consultant was not selling me a product for the sake of making his commission, but had truly listened and understood my needs and steered me towards a perfect match. Needless to say I am now the proud owner of a Kia Soul + obtained at a perfect price point! Financing was effortless, and the experience with Rabii at Orlando Kia West will have me returning in the near future for another purchase. I was so pleased with Rabii that I have made a referral, and when I return to the dealership for service or to inquire about the new models on the lot I will wait for Rabii if he is attending to someone else and if he is not working I will return when he is on duty. Thanks Rabii for having restored my faith you have proven that one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch. More
