They also recommended replacing the shocks and struts on my truck. I purchased a warranty when I purchased the truck and they made the call to the warranty company and got the service approved. Chris said he would call me when the parts came in and we could set up an appointment. I hadn’t heard anything by mid October (over two months later) so I called and a note was left for him to call me back. This happened twice with no call back either time. Finally I called a third time and was able to talk with him and set an appointment for the shocks and struts for a week later. I took the truck in at 730am and was under the impression the work was being performed. I called them at 545pm (15 minutes before they closed) and asked what the status of my truck was. Chris told me he was sorry, but the parts did not get delivered like they were supposed to. Not only did I not get the parts installed, I was also out a vehicle until the following day and I had to arrange a way to get to work by 6am. A little communication goes a long way. The complete lack of follow-up and communication is unacceptable. I don’t know how a business can thrive when business is conducted the way greg hubler practices. More
There are two types of businesses that promote the use of catchy slogans such as "Promises Kept" and post their "Core Values". The first type of businesses uses slogans/core values as the backbone of esta catchy slogans such as "Promises Kept" and post their "Core Values". The first type of businesses uses slogans/core values as the backbone of establishing a true "Client Centric" atmosphere, and who wish to act in the best interest of their customers. This is established from the top down (Owner > GM > Managers > Associates) and appropriate procedures and controls are implemented to ensure the user experience is prioritized. This does not actually mean the customer is always right, it just means the business will not always be ruthless and act in their best interest at the expense of their clients. It means they have the conviction to operate in good faith and prioritize the user experience while chasing profitability. The second type of businesses uses these as gimmicks to trick customers into believing the business will act in good faith, but in reality they lack the conviction to do so. Being ruthless in business isn't necessarily a bad thing, just be honest and own it. Don't hide behind gimmicky slogans and fake value statements. Unfortunately it is my experience the Greg Hubler Ford is the later. They did not act in good faith with me, when presented with a quick win that benefited them, they took it without hesitation, and to my detriment. They seem to lack true conviction in the values they expose and will be ruthless to their benefit. My issue was with the sales team, as I was attempting to purchase a truck over the phone (I'm out of state). They ended up selling the truck to an individual who offered cash, which is obviously a win for them. It's just this transaction happened 4.5 hours after I submitted my application. A deposit was never requested and my multiple attempts to follow up and get a status during the day were ignored. It wasn't until the end of the day and I called the dealership number and not my salesman number, did I learn of the turn of events. I'm not really mad about losing the truck, there will be others. I'm just extremely disappointed that they did not act in good faith, knowing they had my application and my desire to purchase the truck. Now I have three inquiries on my credit file (for no good reason) and still need to find a truck. They did not violate any laws and they are free to sell the truck to whomever they want, but in my opinion their actions are not in line with their stated core values. From a user experience, this was poor service. I have purchased multiple cars from out of state dealers (not sure why I can't find value in my area) and I have never had an experience like this. Was it the anonymity of a phone sale that made it easy to act in an unethical manner? I doubt very seriously that if I was present in the showroom they would have conducted themselves this way. Promoting a true user experience as they claim in their slogan and core values would be agnostic to my physical location. Even after they acted in their own self interest, how hard would it have been to call me and at least let me know? My sales person still has never contacted me since he requested the application. If you choose to do business with them, please be aware and protect yourself. Operate only in your best interest, as they are doing the same for themselves More
Tyree is an excellent, low-pressure, yet engaged salesman. Rob is an outstanding GM. Both were honest & straightforward. No xx.
