At the time of our purchase my wife was doing a lot of driving to and from Hampton Roads and the MD/DC area. Her car was getting up there in mileage and for safety and peace of mind we thought we would check into pruchasing a new car. We like the Mazda line based on our great past experiences with 2 MPV vans and 3 B series trucks. We did our did our research, and since the vehicle was for my wife, she put together a mental ist of what she "needed" in the car she was looking for, and went into Hall Mazda. Based on our research my wife was really impressed with the CX-9. After we had parked, we began peering into cars and looking at the "stickers" when we were quietly and professionaly greeted by Jon Chisom in the lot. We enjoyed the fact that we were not immediately pounced upon. Jon explained he was new to Hall Mazda but he had been in the car sales business a while, and that he would be glad to assist us in any way he could. Needless to say we did not buy a car during our first visit, but we talked as we left Hall Mazda about Jon's knowledge, professional demeanor and customer concern attitude. It is very simple, but the most impressive trait about Jon Chisom was his abillity to just listen to my wife and what she liked, wanted and was concerned with. He was not pushy, willingly checked other dealer inventory to locate possible vehicles for us, and did not try to change my wife's mind about what she liked or wanted to buy. We looked at other vehicles and a few weeks later we purchased a dealer driven 2009 Pearl white CX-9 from Jon. This purchase was one of the easiest and smoothest new/used vehicle purchases we have ever made, and without a doubt it was due to Jon Chisom, Mr. Bird (Jon's boss) and the way that we were treated by all of the staff at Hall Mazda. The CX-9 is really a blast to drive, very comfortable, well appointed, stylish, met all my wife's requirements and we are often asked about the car Besides the actual vehicle, Mr. Chisom and Mr. Bird were two of the main reasons why we went back to Hall for our purchase. When I first came to Hall Mazda I think I was looking around the parking lot for a whopping 30 seconds before Todd Jenkins came out to greet me. He saw me eyeing a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 and was able to around the parking lot for a whopping 30 seconds before Todd Jenkins came out to greet me. He saw me eyeing a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 and was able to explain all of the great features in full detail. Although I wasn't in the market for a brand new car we went out for a test drive anyways. I needed some time to work out my finances and determin exactly what I could pay and in that timeframe Todd gave me his personal cell number to reach him if he wasn't in the dealership. I was blown away by the fact that during his free time he was still willing to help me find a car...you just don't see that everyday. In the end I decided brand new was out of my price range, and used would fit my budget more at this time. I told him what I was looking for and he was promptly able to find it for me and at a great price. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to be able to go into a dealership and not be pressured, to have them ask you what your looking for, and then do all the work in finding your perfect car for you. I never thought that I would give a 5 star rating to a car dealership but Hall Mazda really takes customer service to the next level. Anyone looking for a new or used car, with good or bad credit I have full confidence that Todd Jenkins and the staff at Hall Mazda will be able to find what your looking for. More

I went to Hall Mazda looking for a brand new mazda 3 s sport and when I arrived on the lot I was approached by the salesman Johnathon Chisom. He approached well groomed, confident and very attentive to what I had to say. He then explained the vehicle inside and out with no problem, and very knowledgable of the product. As we spoke a little more of the vehicle he then took me in the showroom to begin paperwork and that was completed in a very reasonable time frame. Johnathan Chisom took great time with me and made the experience feel more personable than just another number to add to the sales books. Anyone out there that is looking for a great experience with buying a car I recommend Hall Mazda in Virginia Beach, Va. Also I recommend Johnathan Chisom as your salesman as well. This dealership works extremely hard to make the sure the customer walks away with no complaints and all smiles. I walked in with the thought of just going for a test drive, instead I was suprised by how nice everyone was. In the end I still was not ready to buy a car, and instead of just letting me walk away they drive, instead I was suprised by how nice everyone was. That was the best thing that they could have done which is why I bought the car the next day! John and the team are very nice and it was the best experience I had in buying a new car. More

Jon and the crew were making sure that me and my husband were as happy as can be. Our situation was a difficult situation and Jon and the crew were determined to get me into the car that I wanted. "Where there is a will, there is a way" was something that I heard on more than one occasion throughout the night. In the end, I walked away as a bard new owner of a gorgeous Mazda 3 and I formed a connection with a dealership, just when I thought that things were not going to go my way. Thank you Hall Mazda! I have to say that Robert Pena made this car purchase an easy one. He explained everything and even took care of contacting my insurance company and setting up coverage on our new 2010 Mazda Miata after I easy one. In addition, since this car was to be a surprise for my wife, Robert allowed me to borrow a big bow to put on the car which was sitting in the driveway when she got home. It was great to see her expression as she got out of her old car. Zack took care of the financing and answered all of my questions. Both are very professional and know their products well. I came to Hall Mazda after already working with my I came to Hall Mazda after already working with my 'family' salesman at Hall Ford in NN. I told Derrick I wanted to see what a MAzda 3 & 6 was like. I came to Hall Mazda after already working with my 'family' salesman at Hall Ford in NN. I told Derrick I wanted to see what a MAzda 3 & 6 was like. I was already test driving a Ford Fusion. Derrick was very nice and I felt no pressure to buy from him (I told him that I was loyal to the salesman from Hall Ford). He showed me a few used Mazdas then a 2010 Mazda 3. It was really nice. I didn't know what interest rate I would qualify for, since I just finished a Ch 13 Bankruptcy. After gathering all the information he needed, Derrick, along with the Sales manager & GM - called over to Hall Ford and told my salesman that I was possibly interested in a Mazda. They put my family salesman's name on the deal... so he could credit for it -even though it was a 2010 Mazda (not the Ford Fusion) Also - they were able to get me a really low interest rate -lower than I ever dreamed of. That is the main reason I went for the 2010 v. a '09 or '08. They said they would take the Ford Fusion back to N.N. for me. Derrick actually had to drive over there to get my old van I was trading in and bring back to Virginia Beach (Hall Mazda). I really think everyone (Derrick, Zach Byrd, and Calvin Smith, GM) all went out of their way to help me and to make this sale happen. I'm getting a fresh start to my financial life after the bankruptcy... this is the best first step I can take (car loan) and I get to drive a really 'sweet ride' on top of it all! My husband's SUV had totally stopped working and I knew it was time for another car. This time it was one of my own choosing. My husband had chose a Ford Five-hundred 2005 for me a while back and since he chose that car I gave it to him and told him I want a Mazda. I already knew what I wanted from past experience driving my mothers car. When we arrived at Hall Mazda, Johnathan was there to make sure things would happen for me. Everything about him was professional; he came out smiling, introduced himself talked about the differences in each car and what they are equipped with, I mean he didn't leave no room for guessing. He stood there and listen with sincerity of what I wanted in a car and with no hesitation he went to work. I have to say, everyone in there did there part into making sure we were happy and got the most of what we needed in a car. If no-one will say it to you, I will; Mazda employees are impeccable.
