Frustrating experience with Hamilton Mazda last week. I called at 11:30am and made an appointment for a CX-5 Preferred, which they had 2 in stock. Fast forward to my appointment time 3 hours later, and I called at 11:30am and made an appointment for a CX-5 Preferred, which they had 2 in stock. Fast forward to my appointment time 3 hours later, and both were gone. The salesman had texted while I was driving (less than a half hour before my appoint) to let me know the were gone, but I didn't get the text until I stopped driving when I arrived at the dealership. Of course he mentioned they have the higher trim in stock, but that wasn't in my budget. Perhaps if he would have called instead, I would have wasted a 45 minute trip there (then 45 min back) and time off work. Very disappointed as I was ready to buy. Be better Hamilton Mazda. More
Inaccurate diagnosis, zero proactive communication, incompetent technician, deceptive business practices and lack of ethics is how I would summarize this 4 week car service ordeal and it finally ended incompetent technician, deceptive business practices and lack of ethics is how I would summarize this 4 week car service ordeal and it finally ended with paying $1144 after rejecting baseless recommendations. Amount charged was for 8 hours of labor instead of half the hours charged by rest of the industry! Even though fuel injector O rings had blown out, recommendation I was provided was to replace the injectors and high pressure pump etc amounting to the tune of $3000 and all this without corroboration. Similarly after replacing O rings that arrived after 4 weeks additional cross selling of services was attempted until last minute. I was told engine light is on and PCM reset will cost additional $283. This is included in price if jobs such as this one by rest of the service centers. I rejected this recommendation, told them not to perform any test drive and I will take the risk of having to get the car toed f it breaks down again on my way home. Astonishingly No check engine light was found to be on when the car was picked up. Informed the service agent about it and I heard no convincing reason as to how this was possible and more contradictory statements like PCM might have reset itself after car running for a while in which case I was wondering why was flash recommendation made in first place. To sum it up it Seems like incompetent technicians clubbed with unethical and deceptive business practices exist. Proactive customer support attitude was not Demonstrated via taking basic steps such as communicating Spare parts are back ordered, or offering alternative options even after multiple failed timelines. More
