No hassle. Got a great vehicle at a great price with Hampton My wife and I were searching all over Louisiana and even in Texas for a brand new 2016 Toyota 4Runner. I visited Price LeBlanc in Baton Rouge, Courvel My wife and I were searching all over Louisiana and even in Texas for a brand new 2016 Toyota 4Runner. I visited Price LeBlanc in Baton Rouge, Courvelle in Opelousas, and 2 dealerships in Texas. Our salesman was Russell Zay. Even though he is a Yankee from New York (LOL), he is a super friendly, personable guy! Russ is down-to-Earth and laid back, but also never haggled us. He gave us a great price from the start and then went out of his way to give us a better offer on my wife's trade in (Acura MDX) that was better than Texas' offers. I felt comfortable that we made the right decision to buy a new car from Hampton, and it is solely based upon Russell Zay's personality and his character. He offered us his cell phone to contact him with any questions/concerns and is always available. He did a favor for me by locating a red ribbon to place atop her new 4Runner, so that when my wife came to the lot to pick up her new vehicle, it looked like a glorious Christmas present--which it was. I am blessed to have such a great wife. Russell Zay (Sales) and Kyle Vidrine (Finance) were the two gentleman that served us for our experience, and they are both stand-up gentleman! Happy but Disappointed. Was pleased with my purchase. Didn't get any floormats though. Who wants a car with no floormats ? The salesman was kind and courteous. She offered to buy mats for me but I don't feel that was her responsibility. It was Hamptons. Not the first time they have done that over the years. Mark, don't buy cars with no floormats .Get them before you attempt to sell it. I did get the car $1400 below book though. Now I'm going to have to pay $125 for a set that I had to order from Sterling Hyundai. To have given me a set of mats wouldn't have hurt them one bit but they wouldn't have it and got kind of sassy while talking about it. Not to say I paid cash for it. Mark has been doing this for years, putting the salesman in a corner to offer to buy them for the customer. Well nobody does that to their salesmen and Mark knows that. After years of making sure that my friends and family had what they needed or wanted, I decided to pursue the tho Hampton Mitsubishi, what can I say? After years of making sure that my friends and family had what they needed or wanted, I decided to pursue the thought of doing something for myself. After about two days of searching online, I decided to visit Giles Subaru. Unfortunately, I was highly dissapointed. Not only did I feel misplaced, I felt that my visit there was combursum for the staff. Their online search criteria was completely misleading. The vehicle I was interested in was listed in a search query for over ten thousand dollars less than listed in store. I told the sales team I was looking for a vehicle that was never available. I turned dusted my feet and left with no desire to ever return. Afterwards, my brother-in-law and I go to Hampton. The difference in professionalism and compassion was incomparable. My interactions with Mr Derrick Ellis was very amiable. It was a true blessing for me to have had the privilege of being cared for in such a manner. I was not completely convinced of making this major decision to buy such an awesome gift for myself. While at Hampton and working with such an attentive staff, this was no longer a question or doubt that I should buy this gift. As a testimony, after leaving Hampton, I celebrated with my brother-in-law by dining at a Chinese restaurant. My fortune cookie read "Today is a perfect day to give someone special a gift". Thank you Derrick and all the sales team at Hampton for making me feel special. I appreciate all and highly recommend your dealership to all. I cannot express my gratitude in totality. Better than Texas I was in Lafayette visiting from from Texas. My mother in law back in Austin was shopping for a Camry and couldn't find the color combination she want I was in Lafayette visiting from from Texas. Michael Alfono gave us much better service than any of the Texas dealers we were talking to, and even found a car for us with a better price with no haggling. I don't write many reviews here so what I say is with genuine appreciation of the outstanding service and treatment Michael and Hampton gave us. More
