After years of being disappointed (and overcharged) by dealership service departments, I went on the hunt for a mechanic I felt I could trust. I looked for someone who looked like they took pride in thei dealership service departments, I went on the hunt for a mechanic I felt I could trust. I looked for someone who looked like they took pride in their work (and in their personal appearance and work area). I have been driving by Harbro for years and remembered that I have never heard anything bad about them, and the lot area always looked well kept, so I stopped by Harbro recently to talk with the mechanic and take a look at the place. The young mechanic impressed me by his demeanor, his clean-cut appearance, and his honest answers. Their waiting room was clean and neat and everyone I encountered was friendly. So I made an appointment for a recommended manufacturers service. My car was taken in right on time and finished when they said it would be. I was finicky with a couple of requests and those requests were correctly fulfilled with a smile. It was real pleasant to sit in a quiet waiting room for a change without a loudspeaker blaring constantly and service writers approaching other customers with news of costly recommendations. I liked this place and the mechanic. I'll be back. More
I brought my new car (purchased elsewhere) in for its first oil change, based on a sign advertising $14.95 new customer special. Since my car requires synthetic oil, Eddie was very thorough about explaining the cost difference but also explaining the differences between synthetic and conventional oils. They were out of syn. oil, and had to call CAP to deliver some, and I was very impressed at the speed with which that happened. Everyone there was super friendly and greeted me individually. More
I had an issue where as my father passed away this week and I needed to have front pads and rotors installed. With the craziness and mindset of the week, I couldnt repair myself and the pads were now meta and I needed to have front pads and rotors installed. Friday around 9:30 AM I arrived at Harbro Linwood and met an amazing person in Andrea Cutting. I explained my situation and told her I knew it would be tough but could she squeeze me in, while I wait. Two minutes later she said she would have my car in next. We chatted, while the work was done and it was very comforting to take my mind off of everything that was going on. The cost was 1 hour which was $88. Thats pricy to toss pads and a rotor on but it is the going labor cost, thats why I put OK on price. Better yet they took care of me and helped me in a situation most would not. Thank you Harbro, as always an amazing business with such amazing people, Such as Andrea. keep up the great work!!! More

It was making an annoying squealing noise when accelerating and I decided to take it to the shop to have it looked at. The service team was able to identify all the issues with the vehicle (Mostly Factory Recalls and Service Notices for this particular year) It required a new clutch a new throttle body and slave cylinder. Not cheap labor or parts to obtain (trust me I looked it up) But the team at HARBRO really went above and beyond making these fixes top priority and did not charge me a dime. They really stand by their sales and service. They did amazing work and in a really timely manner. Everyone from the office to the garage was very kind and helpful and involved me in every step of the process. The mechanics walked me threw all my issues and even showed me what was wrong. (Something most will not due) The Harbro team has the greatest integrity I have ever witnessed. They stand behind their people and products. I will not go anywhere else for service again. I went into Harbro's because I had an issue with my car. (rear reverse light needed to be changed, however, my back hatch to my car hasn't opened in a year and could not replace the light to remedy my faile (rear reverse light needed to be changed, however, my back hatch to my car hasn't opened in a year and could not replace the light to remedy my failed state inspection) A gentleman went out to my car to see if the light could be changed without opening the lift gate. It could not, so we scheduled an appointment. A few days later my lift gate popped half way open, and I figured I would take the care down to see if someone could pop it open the rest of the way for me. The same gentleman was there that helped me the last time, he went out to my car, and somehow got my lift gate open!!! I was SUPER psyched considering a broken light went from costing me a couple hundred dollars to less than twenty. The staff was super nice, Devin behind the desk is very friendly, it's nice to go into an establishment and be greeted with a smile! I went to pay, and the nice gentleman that helped me both times said everything was all set. Come to find out from someone else, the nice gentleman was one of the owners, Mark Hare. Very professional, friendly, knows his stuff and is obviously humble :) Excellent experience, definitely will bring all my future auto needs to Harbro! P.S. My neighbors have bought four cars from Harbro and they also bring their cars to them for all their auto service needs :) More

Had an emergency service transmission cooling line repair completed by Harbro in Webster. John took care of the initial portion and the guys out back (Dan and Matt) did the rest. I have purchased several vehicles from Harbro over the past 15 years and have been very pleased with their selection and and overall experience. Last week I was getting ready to leave for a vacation when past 15 years and have been very pleased with their selection and and overall experience. Last week I was getting ready to leave for a vacation when I noticed I was leaking fuel from my Chevy Tahoe. I called Harbro and spoke with Dan and John and they said I could bring it right up. After an on the spot diagnosis, John started calling for the necessary parts which would be there shortly. They got right on the job to replace my fuel pump and injector kit. Within a few hours I was on my way. Thanks to the people at Harbro I averted a disastrous situation. More
