Below is my original review & the reply I received - what has & has not happened after I left the original review makes it even more clear that they do not care 1 bit about their customers & they just want t has & has not happened after I left the original review makes it even more clear that they do not care 1 bit about their customers & they just want to give the impression that they care! I left the original review on 01/15/26. On 01/16/26 I received the reply below (and if you look @ other poor reviews you will see a similar - if not identical reply). I repeatedly called the # with the extension left with the reply & it always went directly to voicemail (that BTW was full & not able to accept additional messages). I called the main # without an extension & that brought me to Kia of West Nyack. Where the only place I could reach a live person was in the service department & they had no idea who I was trying to reach. I finally left a message on the main voicemail. I did receive a return call the next day from their reception department where they informed me that the # that was specifically left on the review to "resolve" the issue a day or so ago was not the proper # to reach Jamie Brown - Customer Care Manager. She took my # and said she would forward the information to Jamie Brown. I finally received a call from Jamie Brown on 01/23/26 where I gave him more information on the dealership's failure to honor the tire warranty that THEY sold to me. He assured me that he would contact the dealership & get back to me promptly with a resolution. AND.... that is the last I've heard from him or anyone else from Hawthorne Chevrolet management or ownership - What a complete disgrace! ORIGINAL REVIEW Since the change in ownership this place is an absolute joke! This was my third and final service visit since the ownership change. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told there was a nail in my driver side rear tire, that was patchable, and asked if I wanted to have that done at additional cost. My answer was no because I have a tire protection plan that I purchased from “Hawthorne Chevrolet” under the previous owner that I learned is no longer accepted at “Hawthorne Chevrolet” by the current owner during a previous request for service for a nail in my tire. I was told that DLP (the tire protection company) would not make payments to them for service plan repairs. I called DLP and was told the exact opposite. They said the current owners of “Hawthorne Chevrolet” will not perform work on DLP plans because they were not happy with the reimbursement amounts of that contract. I was told that the tire rotation did not occur this visit because the technician did not want to “disturb” the compromised tire. So, in essence, the current owners of “Hawthorne Chevrolet” charged a customer of more than 15 years (leasing a new vehicle every 3 years or so) $120.00 for an oil change, let me leave with a compromised tire on my vehicle on the way OUT of their service center with the recommendation that I drive, on a compromised tire, about 20 miles out of my way to get it repaired at Mahwah Buick (who would honor the DLP plan), even though I purchased a tire protection plan from “Hawthorne Chevrolet”. As I opened this review with… What an absolute joke! ORIGINAL REVIEW REPLY Hawthorne Chevrolet (Owner) a month ago Mike, we are really sorry to read about your frustrating experience with us, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that we've caused you. It's disappointing to know that the change in ownership has affected your previous arrangements, and we understand why this would be bothersome. We would like the opportunity to address your concerns directly. Please reach out to me when you have a moment to talk. Thank you, Jamie Brown - Customer Care Manager - 845-353-1919 x 3151 More

I have no issue with the Service Dept. , all of the people there are professional. However they recently raised their prices. How can you charge $120 for an oil change, and that is without , all of the people there are professional. However they recently raised their prices. How can you charge $120 for an oil change, and that is without a tire rotation. I had a $20 coupon from GM towards an oil change. I was told it would cost more if I used the coupon, which made no sense. They now charge a fee if you use a credit card, which they never did before. I'll have to rethink going back there for service. I've leased at least six cars from there. There is new ownership at this dealership, which might explain the increase in prices. Not the same dealership any more. More
If I could give them a zero I would. Do not buy from them! I searched a long time for a vehicle and I finally found one I really wanted but it was out of state. I bought it on May 7, 202 Do not buy from them! I searched a long time for a vehicle and I finally found one I really wanted but it was out of state. I bought it on May 7, 2025. My dad picked it up for me. The salesman gave me out-the-door price, but when I got all of my documents it was $2,000 more because the financial person sold my dad more items. I was the one buying the vehicle, and I didn’t agree with that. I got my vehicle home and after 2 weeks of driving it, the transmission went out. I called the salesperson and he acted like they wouldn’t do anything about it. Then I emailed them and brought up Lemon Law. He said since it is registered in a different state, the New Jersey Lemon Law wouldn’t apply, but he agreed to fix the transmission. Meanwhile, I took it to a transmission shop who said they don’t work on 10-speed transmissions. I then took it to one of our local Ford dealerships who informed me that it needed a new transmission and that the sunroof was broken. They gave me a quote for the transmission and sunroof. I called this dealership back and they told me to ship the vehicle to them. I paid $700 for it to be shipped back to them on June 7, 2025. I called on June 12, 2025, to get an update on it and the salesman went off on me and told me, “I told you not to take it to someone else” and screamed the whole time. I was so upset. Why would any salesman treat a person like this? So after that I had my father call to check it. On July 9, 2025, I was informed that it was finally done. However, they only rebuilt the transmission and not the sunroof. The salesman told us it was a new transmission. I paid $642 for the vehicle to be shipped back and now have to have someone fix the sunroof. After all that, I finally received my plates on August 29, 2025 from this company. My advice is, don’t ever buy from them unless you can have a trusted mechanic go over every detail of the vehicle before signing paperwork! More
For service specifically, service is always accommodating. Service communicates well while car is in for service. accommodating. Service communicates well while car is in for service. More
