I am sorry to hear that your experience at our dealership was not a pleasant one. On behalf of Helms Bros., I assure you that we always do our best to ensure our customers have a favorable and rewarding experience and welcome your input. In regards to your posting, I would like you to know that it is the policy of Helm Bros. to have five valets on duty at all times. Our valets all read, write and speak perfect English and have been with our company for many years. As such, they’ve been trained to be friendly and courteous at all times (i.e. assisting customers in opening/closing doors, load/unload cars, etc.). Making our customers waiting time as comfortable as possible is very important to our dealership. As such, three employees monitor and stock our lounge hourly, so that snacks and refreshments are always available. Helms Bros. strives to provide suitable entertainment and a pleasant environment for all of the service department’s waiting clientele. Helms Bros. does not have cable television, so it would not be possible to view Jerry Springer or like programming. We use ABN (Automotive Broadcast Network), a company that provides family-oriented television clips. If there was something you saw on there which you found offensive or find offensive in the future, then we would ask you to let one of our staff know so we can work to correct this with ABN on behalf of our customers. As far as our reception staff, Helms Bros. prohibits personal cell phones during work hours. However, our staff utilizes Nextel walkie-talkies to communicate with other employees and departments. It is possible there was some miscommunication there, which we apologize for. Our vehicle wash bay, which all vehicles have to pass through before pick up, is complimentary with every visit to our service department. This wash includes an interior vacuum and an exterior machine wash. Should our customers require further attention to the vehicle, we also offer detailing at a cost to the client. Either way, protective floor mats and seat covers are always placed in vehicle before this process to prevent marked up or dirty floor mats. Should any items be missed, we always encourage our customers to bring any such problems to our attention during their visit so we can rectify them on-site immediately. With regards to your experience here, our cashier meant no hostility and was merely trying to inform you of our complimentary wash service while delivering paperwork so the process could be expedited. Again, we are sorry if there was miscommunication. As part of his duties as Service Advisor, Keith advised you during your visit on other items that were necessary due to the car’s mileage and maintenance needs. Helms Bros. wishes to ensure the safety of its customers and the quality of our Mercedes-Benz products, so as such it is always our responsibility to bring maintenance needs to the attention of our customers. The customer is of no obligation to have the work done. Your post also intimated that perhaps one of our employees was trying to take advantage of you based on your sex. As a woman, our General Manager takes discrimination VERY seriously and during her 3-decade career she has trained our staff to be courteous and professional with ALL customers, regardless of race, color, sex or creed. Helms Bros. has worked hard to make sure its female customers and employees in particular are treated fairly and with utmost respect. We are sorry that you felt unsatisfied during your visit. Helms Bros. welcomes its customers input and promises continued improvement in an effort to better serve you. In the future, we hope we can better meet your needs.
