I texted my salesman, Kevin Bugbee, who told me, "we're gonna change that" He called me in 10 minutes and told him to meet him first thing in the morning at the dealership. What he had waiting for me was HIS car to take (a 435 convertible) - who does that? My car happened to be ready by the end of the day, however, I couldn't get back to the dealership until after 5:30. He called me and said, no problem, take my car for the night, and I'll see you in the morning. Company representatives like Kevin are 1 in a million and I will never forget this experience More
Failed repair under warranty will not service for 10 days! I left a review last year for 5 stars. My, how things have changed. I spent $557 October 2016 for a left tie rod replacement. Upon delivery of the vehicle, I discovered that the vehicle was not in fact repaired, so I had to bring it in again, at which point the repair was completed. Fast forward to September 2017, when I bring my car in for inspection (not at Herb Chambers). It fails due to the left tie rod. I called Herb Chambers on 9/7 and left a message for my service adviser, who never called me back. I called Herb Chambers AGAIN on 9/15, and explain that this was a failed repair under warranty and that I need to have it rectified ASAP so that I can get my inspection sticker. They will not fit me in until 9/25 (10 days from now). I asked for a manager, who declined to get on the phone with me. To be clear, this is THEIR REPAIR that has failed during the warranty period, it presents safety concerns when driving, and they refuse to consider the circumstances in their scheduling decision. The only option is the same option I was originally offered: 10 days from today (17 days from when I originally called). FAIL. More

Could not move the head rests down as requested, offered to wash and vacuum, they did not vacuum but insisted they did. Waited another 15 minutes for them to do what they said they did. What I did get was a bunch of reasons like "we just have a skeleton crew here on Sundays" which sounded more like excuses. My last experience was also misleading, but Liz fixed it. I'm not sure if it's incompetence, laziness or stupidity, but I was completely underwhelmed by this experience, as well as overcharged. I wonder if I'm getting the same service Herb Chambers gets. I doubt it. More

Overpriced and inaccurate service estimate I had our 2010 BMW X3 towed here with a suspension problem, the dealership was the bigger problem. This car apparently has a problem with broken coil springs which appear to have also caused excessive wear on the rear sub-frame assembly which also failed. BMW of Boston estimated $7,700 for the repair, failed to tell us up front the parts necessary weren't even available, they exaggerated the items in need of repair and missed major issues as well. Ultimately I got the car towed to a reputable BMW specialist in Peabody, MA Autobahn Performance, they did the job for $3,700 in 3 days, not 3 weeks. Plus they serviced the rear differential, which was adjacent to the repair site and mounted and balanced 4 new tires I purchased separately on TireRack, all for $4,000 less. BMW of Boston missed the damage to the tires, they also said my emergency brake needed to be repaired for $917, it required so little it was free. I was very impressed with the service manager Kyle, and his ability to maintain his pleasant demeanor in spite of my apparent outrage at their pricing structure. I am a very capable home mechanic, these guys price complex repairs as if they are being done on an individual basis rather than as contiguous parts. If you like paying twice as much as necessary, have your car serviced here, they are really nice, while sticking it to you. More

The service team does an excellent job each and every time. I am especially pleased with my most recent service advisor, Dan Blash. As a new employee to this department, I was impressed with his customer service and professionalism. I learned that he was formerly a service tech so I am not surprised by his wealth of knowledge about the vehicles. Dan also went above and beyond by staying an hour after the department closed for the day just so that I could pick up my car before the weekend. Examples like this separate a five star dealership/service center from the rest. Dan is a great service advisor and should be highly valued by his employer. More

I received excellent service through Ahmed in the Sales department and the service advisor, Dan Blash, who was able to diagnose the problem and get the car fixed within a few hours. He gave me a detailed description of what the problem was and the options to fix it. I would highly recommend this service center to everyone! More

My complaint is that I suspect that the engine oil service is not done for following reasons: 1) The car computer panel is still showing the same mileage (9000 miles) and same oil level as I drove into the dealer garage; 2) The car was not washed. 3) The oil change sticker in the left top corner of windshield still showed oil change date 11/06/2015; 4) The oil level is down (8000 miles) only after 2-3 weeks service. Previously the oil level down happened 6 months after the oil change service. 5) Also I only had front brake service, but the computer panel showed the next front brake service is 25,000 miles, rear brake service is 50,000 miles (I didn't work on rear brake). That showed your technician careless for the customer service. I called the Service after I got back home, and left a voice msg, but nobody from BMW Boston call me back. Even after I reported this issue to the dealer, they still have not contacted me, and answered my question. I can't believe a brand name dealer charged fee with no service, Also very poor post-service to take care of the customer's concern. I definitely will not recommend to go to this dealer for service in the future. More
